I went to a dealership to test drive a 2021 TRD with 13000 miles, and those crooks only wanted to give me 17000 for my xse which is mint and only has 32000 miles. They wanted 32000 for the TRD. I told them to stick it and walked out the door, a holes in every way

Great car exept for the rear seat that doesn't fold down. Why? That sucks. I own a 2018 Camry LE (I had a really good deal on it in 2021) and I'm glad I can fold down the rear seat when needed.

It doesnt fold down becuase its built into the frame to make the car drive stiffer. its actually a feature.

If this was AWD and even a 2L turbo charged engine, I'd buy this all day. But being FWD and just a typical V6 makes it very underwhelming. In terms of looks, to me, it's one of the best looking sedans on the market rivaling BMW in that aspect. Just not interested in it in terms of performance.

I went with the 2023 XSE 4cyl, fully loaded. White/Black with red interior. Wanted the V6 but gas prices and a hour drive to work forced me to get the 4cyl. XSE has way more features than the TRD. Just the interior style of the XSE is better than the TRD

I have the exam same dilemma, I wanted a TRD but I gotta drive almost an hour for work amd back. Logically speaking id go for the XSE due to gas prices, but for personal preference I enjoy the sporty look on the TRD. My question is does the XSE look as sporty and aggressive as the TRD? And which model would you choose and why?

I think if they make them real TRD it could be worth the price. But it has the same performance as the XSE V6. And the XSE has better options.

an XSE doesn't come with the same upgraded sport suspension, bigger brakes, stiffened chassis, or catback exhaust like the TRD. I'll keep my TRD enjoy your heated steering wheel, seats and sunroof. A TRD is 100% worth the price and far more engaging to drive, what's not to like?

The TRD starts life as an SE. So it’s no surprise the fake vents, downgraded stuff like the headlights, etc etc are a let down.

I got 2 years of free maintenance. Dealer charged me $6500 for extra warranty and 4 years of maintenance. They forced me to purchase bc they said Toyota financed wasn’t gonna approve my loan if I didn’t buy that package. I called Toyota finance 2 days later and had that $6500 package removed. Toyota finance said it was wrong for them making me buy the warranty.

My 2010 3.5 V6 has 280 HP, projector LED headlights, fogs lights, power drivers seat, rear spoiler that is more stylist. And my backseat folds down so I can stuff longer items "in the trunk". Don't know that about 20 HP is worth it. LoL!! And I hate cars that NAG!!

The TRD should be a lot cheaper than this. Otherwise there’s no reason to not just splurge for the XSE v6. Remember the TRD isn’t really lighter than the XSE v6. Even if it was it’s only 10lbs lighter.

Over 10k worth of performants parts added. Full TRD cat back exhaust system, Full upper and lower body bracing, Full TRD suspension including sway bars and stabilizer bars. Forged TRD 19" wheels. But hey you couldn't get one anyway.

Not worth it at all. TRD is the same useless gimmick as nightshade, sport, or off road. How about a 4runner trail edition with a super duper cooler... Or 2021 Tundra Off Road - no locker, no crawl control. I also want to know why Toyota calls color-matched body parts "sport". Toyota created a dozen of pointless trims just to charge money for it.
