well thought out and explained video on airflow its easy to just carpet bomb a case with fands and it hurts airflow. Its more about pressures and linear flow through the case vs shoving air everywhere.

this channel is so underrated

I appreciate the comment! It takes a long time to build a channel, and I'm still "finding my groove" as it were! I appreciate all the support from everyone and look forward to being able to eventually commit more time to this channel, working with the community, and having a little fun with everyone!

Thanks for the information, was wondering if adding a second exhaust fan would actually help my build or not. The visual example of air flow was super helpful 👍

It really depends on your layout. Exhaust is important otherwise we just create a swirling mess of hot spots.
@realracing3specter2954 ай бұрын
yes, i have like 3 intake fans, controlled by motherboard, rest 2 exhaust fans (one at the back, one at top) both on the other corner, which are standard dumb molex fans. i put an additional fan on lower floor area to create more turbulence, pushing air towards the side of the dual-tower air cooler, and it literally cools my system down to the ambient temperature outside (on zero loads). for visuals, we can also use thick smoke to directly notice where the air is actually moving in the case.

Is it a matter of time before refrigeration makes its way into computers?
@UnhingedSystems2 жыл бұрын
Perhaps! I've been playing with different refrigerant concepts and looking into different heat pipe fluids but the problem keeps coming back to most refrigerants or liquids that could be used as refrigerants wouldn't be safe for consumer exposure. Air conditioning itself could be cool, but without precise control could lead to condensation. Not to mention a 1500W+ air conditioner being used to cool a 1500W PC seems so wasteful. Who knows what future tech will bring us?
@Ayane13b2 жыл бұрын
The only problem is that you'd need ducting to outside. Any heat your PC makes would just heat your room like a mofo. We already have room heater GPU's, I can't imagine we start going with products that need more power. I'm sure it'll change and start going towards efficiency.

Just install car radiator on your window. 50/50 anti freeze. I would go for the Preston brand

Hi, thanks for the great video. I did not find your replacing the 3090 thermal pads. I think thats next on my list and would enjoy seeing how you did that. Thanks!

What rpm i need to do for exhaust fans ? My intake fans is going max 1200rpm
@UnhingedSystems3 ай бұрын
@@sinanakar5170 You should have slightly more air intake than you do exhaust as the positive pressure will help to keep the dust out of your PC. The goal is neutral or slightly positive pressure. If you take a small piece of paper and put it against a grill or open spot on your case where there are no fans and the case is sucking the paper towards the case then you have negative pressure. In that case your intake fans can go a bit higher. As an example if you have three intake fans you would benefit from 2-3 exhaust fans. If the fans are different models of fans then you may need to spend some time dialing in the right speeds. Personally I tend to not run my fans above 75% unless I have to. Noisy fans are no fun. Good luck!
