The fact you don’t take payment for your videos and reviews makes your content some of the most real info on KZbin, thanks James. Paid influencers are the most immoral form of marketing we have to put up with these days, it’s actually pretty disgraceful.

It should be the default, although if a genuine and intelligent person were to be sponsored by a product that they liked, I don't see anything wrong. He is selling a fitness program too (nothing wrong with that), which definitely has more credibility if he shows how impartial and unbiased he is.

Unfortunately, attribution in nutritional science is extremely difficult to prove. That’s why you find even peer-reviewed scientific papers with contradicting findings. Olive oil is a good example of ambivalence and contradicting research. We live in a world where influencers can sell anything apparently…never mind AG1, how about dodgy energy drinks 😏👍

I'd like to see a deep-dive into whoever is behind producing & marketing this stuff? I assume it wasn't already a huge success before the ads began appearing on what seems like EVERY KZbin video and Podcast I subscribe to. So they must have a huge advertising budget allowing them to attempt making the stuff profitable by sheer strength of will... It seems like someone just found a potentially lucrative product category and convinced some investors that their brand would resonate with the 'lazy health conscious' demographic...

I'm just surprised that the brand SEEMS? to be popular? Or are they still hoping the advertising will make it successful before they run out of marketing budget... It's the perceived convenience for some that seals the deal. Some people want to feel that they have found a cure for their messy schedule. Having fruits and veggies in your home requires to buy them from the grocery store, they go bad in a few days, you have to wash them, peel them and actually eat them. With AG1, you just mix some green powder into water and poof, you get some things that you might get from eating fruits and veggies, but at a fraction of the hassle. You chug that each morning and you "feel" like you've saved some time in your day. It's all about perception.

In Germany we have a lot of AG1 ads, too. Many platforms reviewed the product already. @@alexanderwindh4830paying tons of money for a subpar product/quick fix that wont even come close to real fruit and veggies is not a great substitute for anything. I worked as a forest fire fighter in BC. Up on a mtn. top at about 8,000 ft in Manning Provincial Park, there are 13 pallets of Gatorade. None of us wanted to drink it. We drank from the glacial cirque, even though we were all warned that we could get beaver fever. That water was fresh, pure, glacier fed, chlorine free-I am sure far healthier than drinking Gatorade!

I put my hands up, I did the same thing as you James! I buckled into the constant word AG1 being thrown about, fast forward to my rather large box (oohh err!) turning up and as you said, what a disapointment as I took the rather small foiled packet out from the uber massive outerbox ;( I looked for reviews firstly at the people I had subscribed to and agreeing with you they all were over the top with comments such as "oh how amazing this makes me feel and I love how this company is out to empower ahem take your money etc...) After reading the sugery comments, I decided to look into more down to earth reviews such as yourself and a couple of others who were able to see beyond the tosh and give a honest approach to the product. Although there is a place for supergreens, which I do dabble occasionally for an extra intake, I can think of better things to be spending my hard earned cash on than the cost of this tiny 1 months supply. Thanks for your input :)

I didn't try the AG1 specifically, but I fell into the "reds and greens" trap from another company. I bought a 2 or 3 month supply of each just to give it enough time to try to feel the effects and realized they did literally *nothing* for me. After my supply ran out I changed my diet slightly to incorporate spinach with breakfast and mushrooms with lunch and now I feel significantly better than I did before, and during, the reds and greens trial I did.
@tomasfrance6609 Жыл бұрын
Be careful with spinach if you are sensitive to oxalates and tend to create kidney stones. Spinach has a super high amount of them.

I did a market research and did not go with AG1 (too expensive for my taste), however I do take one of the greens powder brands daily. I consider my diet pretty good, I do not have any particular deficits apart from specific vitamins (folate, D3) that I supplemented before the green powder. I 100% do not NEED to supplement. Do I still think it's beneficial? Yes, absolutely. In the same way protein powder is beneficial. Ideally I would have each minor thing that my body needs from the food that I consume. Unfortunately that is unrealistic for me with a schedule I have. I do intermittent fasting for the benefits in terms of alertness in the morning and overall it has been my lifestyle for 3 years now and I love it. However to get every macro/micronutrient in 2 meals a day and a snack would require me to spend a lot of time planning my meals and grocery shopping. Everybody should do their own research and none of the people I watched promoting AG1 in particular has ever said that it is in any way replacement for a balanced diet. Its a convenient way to supplement a healthy diet for people who are looking to optimize the micronutrient side of things. For me the main noticable benefit is better gut health, improved focus, more stable levels of energy throughout the day.

You earned a new subscriber here. I have always felt the way you describe in the video, just eat better to start then see where you stand. Our culture is so instant gratification now that even changing our diet, one of the largest impacts on or health, is not in the conversation for many people because in general it will take more time/brain power to plan meals that are healthy and balanced. Like you said, people get disillusioned by products like this, that they're in fact getting what they're missing which is not the whole truth.

As someone that follows a Mediterranean diet (consists mostly of vegetables) I was skeptical at first but I gave it a try and… literally next day I felt different, been working out more, and honestly been feeling sharper. It could very well be placebo effect, but 2 months into using it I’m honestly feeling way better than I ever did. I am thinking about stopping for a month or 2 and see how I feel. --. It’s honestly very stupid to do a review of something you didn’t even try.🤷🏽♂️

@jjk087 is it a monthly subscription or pay $79 for a whole year????
@diegotinoco3296 Жыл бұрын
@latinelover24 it's a Monthly subscription. I paid $88 Canadian, after shipping. Update after 1 month of not using. Sex drive is lower. I feel like my energy get drained faster, my motivation for working is mostly gone, only workout like 2 times a week. I might just be getting depressed lol Jk. It really does feel like it works, but for almost $100 a month, it doesnt feel worth it, considering there are multivi vitamins for like $40 that last couple months. I'd say try it once, experiment yourself, everyone is different.
