You may or may not generate more value in you job than you get paid but the overall infrastructure of the business is what makes even that possible.

I love that you’re asking the right questions and anticipating where we’ll go and (hopefully) evolve to as a result of AI. You’re hilarious, sincere, genuine and I hope other people notice how you smile with your eyes. Thanks for the daily laughs and please keep broaching serious topics with the other youngsters who are listening! PS. Most of us who aren’t racist white Christian nationalists hate Donald Trump. Just because he got elected doesn’t mean we’re all awful and I hate the perception the world probably has of us now. We’ll do our best to send him into the dustbin of history this November.

Wow, this is insightful! I honestly haven’t thought this deeply about these topics, and I appreciate you sharing. All of this scares me, but I guess we need to buckle up because it seems that change is imminent. 😅

Well you blew my mind. I think there is already a movement of people resisting certain advancements. Like myself I have a phone but I only have facebook to keep up with a few people or if I don’t trust google for information on a place I’m going . I’m definitely not rushing to the nearest Tesla dealership. Hello from somewhere around Atlanta Georgia.

Excellent podcast Garron. Yes AI is particularly dangerous on social media where bots can influence general opinion by being either positive or negative. They can be bought...eg you could but 22.5 million of them all as your followers. All loving anything you say.....and attacking anyone you disagree with. So realistic each interacts as a separate person.

I use it for work often to save time, I feel like people are afraid of change, there will be ways to regulate it, lets embrace the good parts and not have a panic attack, we completely ignore real life disasters, so worrying about this seems ridiculous

The philosophical thought experiments actually demonstrate AI will never overtake human beings. Bit too complex to explain it but read Ben Dupre 'Philosophy Ideas What you really need to know"....think you'd love it with your intellect. Honest.

Well time to get back into skilled work kids. Plumbing, carpentry and tiling. AI isn't taking those jobs and soon you will be fit to just name your price, because they are now like gold dust.

Alvin Toffler in "Future Shock" a book written in the late 1970's predicted that craft trades would become highly paid and the jobs of the secure class. One thing it lacks is scalability and possiblity of coppying into large numbers in order to make big money. Office jobs and admin will become poorly paid and precarious. according to his 1970's prediction. This is about to take place. In Europe and the US the only thing delaying the rise of a rich craft trades class is the high level of migration from the poor south able to do these jobs as long as they do not need linguistic skills. Once this finite resource of cheap labour is exhausted then wages for these manual jobs will rise. AI has an ally in the internet which gets rid of the need to be in one particular place in time. Admin people will live in cheap places and work remotely. Organisations will no longer be pyrimidal with middle management levels weeded out. Single contributors will report and take orders directly from the top bosses, this will see many admin roles sourced out to 3rd party contractors such as HR, payroll, even promotions decisions etc. We are already seeing the proliferation of "cheap shit" with online sources instead of going to a physical store. What has become dear is housing and transport as these commodities are limited in supply and space.

I think that ai in time will make the trades less valuable houses will be built by robots and then assembled by people with little skill

I think it's a little unsettling that you know about AI by probably researching on a technological search engine and Gave your own opinion through a technology device and we watch you through our own devices while this AI you're discussing probably knows that we all know about it and are discussing it..
