Gun safe's are REALLY expensive, but as a responsible gun owner, you need to have a way to lock up your firearms. Have you ever looked at the safes on Amazon? I recently got one and this is the review. It's got tons of space and is really nice, considering the price! Let me know if you have any experience with these more affordable safes in the Comments and don't forget to Subscribe!

As someone who has about 40 long guns and 30 handguns I can tell you that a forty gun safe will not hold 40 guns. You will need to take all the gun racks out and put your guns in sleeves and pile them in. Always buy a bigger safe than you think you need. Then buy a second one when you run out of room. Make sure it's bolted down to the floor, and tell the ole lady you bought it for her jewelry and valuables .

Sawtoothtactical is correct. - the manufacturer CALLS it a gun safe. On Amazon. But here’s the kicker. Cause I have this “safe” too along with thick heavy safe. On the site. It’s a safe. In the safe … there was stickers referring to it as a cabinet. In the manual? It’s now magically transformed into a “locker”. Still. It’s a closed place to put stuff. Is it Fort Knox? No. But not everything has to be.

A gun safe is part of your home security. Any gun safe can be defeated if the thieves have enough time. If your home is secure, you’ll do fine with a lower priced safe. Some people get expensive safes and some get budget safes. But, you have to have a detailed plan for keeping guns out of kids’ hands and make it hard for bad guys to get them. They have a product for everyone.

ughhhhh...quit calling this thing a safe. It's a damn cabnet at best. It can be breached extremely easy and/or carried away by a thief. But yes, at least you can "lock" your firearms away from the little ones. Knuckleheads don't want to spend a whole lot of time trying to get your stuff so a quality safe will deff deter them. Be sure to bolt it down both against a wall in studs and down into floor boards even adding some false bolting too. 😉

Amazon guy carried my safe into the house, but no one is going to carry it out. Unless they can defeat tapcons into a concrete floor and lag bolts into studs. Thieves don't have the time to mess with that! You are more likely going to get robbed digitally today. If you have cash to burn, get a fireproof safe that weighs 600 lbs. I'd rather spend my money on more guns, ammo, and training.

@@sawtoothtactical404 you are never going to convince someone who spent thousands of $ on a "Safe" that a $300 Amazon "Safe" is a real safe. Because it would make them feel stupid for spending so much $ on a gun safe, when you can get a $300 Amazon Safe that does the same thing except it's not fireproof. And if your house catches on fire at least you have guns, right! So what they are doing is defending, justifying, and convincing themselves that it was a well thought out purchase. I heard about Vevor from a fellow business owner and purchased a continuous band sealer machine from them. It was half the price of everything else. I had to file down some of the screw ports when I was putting it together. But, for the price, it does a great job. I got a thin (8"?) Barska quick unlock safe from Amazon a few years ago that's a similar quality. It still works great and has a nice size to fit in places you might not expect a safe to go.

Sadly, I have not invested into "gun safes" mostly due to the price tags on the larger ones.. Instead.. I have a dedicated "gun room" or what I call my "vault" and it is a "reinforced" room in my basement/den that has a "hidden" doorway/entrance that blends into the wall with no visible handlle, knob, or hinges.. so you dont even know that a room is there.. unless I showed it to you. Inside this room is a single window.. with exterior bars.. and the door/entrance to the room itself has special hidden locking deadbolts that go down into the floor for security. Inside this room.. I keep EVERYTHING! All of my firearms, ammo storage, tactical gear and firearm accessories, gun cases and range bags, gunsmith tools and spare parts, reloading press and equipment/supplies, chronograph and everything else firearm related is all in this room. In this room I also have all of my Archery equipment.. my longbows, recurve bows, compound bows, crossbows, PCP air bows, arrows, quivers, strings, targets.. and everything Archery related. In this room I also have my knife, sword and weapons collection.. whish is hanging on all 4 walls.. and it is a very large collection as I have been collecting all kinds of weapons from around the world for a very long time now. I also keep my airguns, pellet guns, PCP rifles and BB guns in this room.. another very large collection.. as airguns has also been a hobby of mine since my very early childhood. I collect a lot of things.. so in this room you will find my Zippo lighter collection and my money/currency/coins from around the world collection.. nut in this room you will NOT find my greatest collection of all.. my REAL pride and joy.. my most precious collection.. and probably my largest collection.. and that is my vinyl record collection - I have been buying records and DJ'ing since 15yrs old.. my father collected records so I have all of his old records.. and my record collection is priceless and irreplaceable! As much as I love all of my firearms.. worst comes to worst.. I could always replace 99% of them (with the exception of the very few extremely rare ones that I managed to acquire over the years) but I have vinyl records that could NEVER EVER be replaced.. limited edition copies.. Albums, LP's and 45's that you could search the world 10x over and still never ever find another good copy of again.. and for me.. my record collection is by far the most priceless thing I own. I keep all of my DJ equipment and records in an entirely whole different room.. and all that stuff easily fills the whole room up.. so I call that room - "the Studio" - I also play a few instruments.. so I keep guitars and Bass guitars and keyboards and drum machines in that room as well.. The secret gun room is also my "Man Cave" and it is a room STRICTLY PROHIBITED and OFF LIMITS to EVERYONE! - and very few have ever seen it.. yet alone entered within it's sacred walls - only a very select privileged few have ever seen it.. and most people I know dont even know I own firearms.. or collect weapons.. and I like it that way.. as I am a very private and discreet person in life.. also the reason I never started a KZbin channel.. something I always wanted to do for so many years.. but never did! I am also a long time prepper who preps.. but that is a whole other story for another time. Being into gadgets and Electronics.. this room is also where I keep all of my other "Toys".. drones.. RC toys.. video game systems (I got them all going back to the days of Pong.. Atari.. Coleco Vision.. Intellivision.. Nintendo.. right up to PlayStation).. with a massive library of classic games.. a pinball machine and the stand up Video Arcade games of Galaga and Asteroids.. Last but not least.. there is the lounging area with sectional pull out sofa, fridge, Bar, microwave, sound system and Flat Screen TV on the wall for watching sporting events and UFC fights. I also touched the room up with some cool artwork, lighting, ceiling fan, and some plants.. and I plan to add an Aquarium very soon. It is not a HUGE room.. it is actually just an average sized room.. but I have so much stuff crammed up in there having to utilize ALL of the available space in the room.. somehow I made it all work.. using all the walls and ceiling.. shelving and stands.. and proper organization.. and when Im in there.. I am comfortable asf.. and I can loose all concept of time.. as the one thing I do NOT keep in that room.. is a clock on the wall - do not ask me why - just my personal choice as time has no control over my life when I am in that very special room.. the most special room in my life.. my secret room. This room is set up to where I can enter.. and stay for days without leaving.. I only wish I had a small grill for cooking.. a sink with running water.. and a shower stall.. then I could stay in there for weeks at a time.. and the world would not be able to find me. lol Sorry for the long post Sawtooth.. I can get carried away sometimes.. lol

@@run_N_DoubleB_gun_N Im not gonna lie.. my 2 worst fears EVER are having my place broken into and getting robbed.. and having an electrical fire that burns my whole house down.. and I try to do everything I can to prevent both.. as an ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure (I think it was Benjamin Franklin who said that sh_t) Most people dont know just how devastating a house fire can be.. unless you've been through it.. to lose EVERYTHING you own.. having to rebuild your whole entire life from scratch.. every single thing that was ever precious to you.. gone forever. Robbers and thieves are easy.. I have security cameras.. motion detectors.. lots of exterior lighting.. and heavy duty locks on all windows and doors.. and then there's my big boy you'll have to deal with once inside - my 130lb American Bulldog.. he's a 5yr old male.. and he dont take kindly to strangers or unexpected guests in his house.. especially when Im not home. So yeah.. Fire is my real MAIN issue.. as it is something that can happen to anyone.. you could even be a victim of Arsonists. Fire Insurance is great.. but it cant replace generations of memories and priceless things that you could never ever put a price tag on or replace. Look.. skip my place bro.. go visit someone like Matt from Demo Ranch.. he gotta whole lot more and better stuff than I got.. and Matt being the nice guy that he is would probably hold you at gun point and call the cops.. and he probably would not shoot you in the face after catching you in his house.. and THEN call the cops.. like I would.

I got this vevor gun safe. I just assembled it. Honestly its a very flimsy build, held together by short screws, and several of the holes are not aligned for the screw to pass through. Figuring out why the screws and holes did not align was time consuming and took me 2 hrs, until I finally decided I was done and it was as good a assembly as it would get. This cabinet will be easy to break into with tools to cut and smash the side walls. This is a barely acceptable cabinet. It will be in my walk in closet in my bedroom and I will get a key lock door knob for the walk in closet as additional safeguarding. Overall just "meh" with this purchase. You get what you pay for. UPDATE: the bolts on the door don't even fully extend out to lock! They come out like 3mm only! And the door doesn't lock! I am going to return this I want my money back

Well, that's why I talked about the other one that I've already owned for a few years, as they're VERY similar. It's held up great and I get guns in and out of it every single day.

A thief can probably use a pocket knife to pry the safe open.

I doubt a pocket knife would get into it, but that's not really the point of something like this. It's just a convenient way to lock up your guns. It's not a $3,000 safe.

You get what you pay for . Avoid electronic locks Any lock can be hacked via the ATF and Liberty oops did I say too much . Have a special day sade hidden with the good tools in a walk in closet make the closet as a safe too .

@@FuturePharmacist-p9kbut do you want to make it easy or hard. Most criminals are lazy opportunists that skip over deterrents most times. Just my opinion. 🤷🏾‍♂️
