I stumbled on the Sierra ELUX at Bike Attacks near Venice beach and always wanted one ( Sierra = $1,800 at the time) this week I began researching the Rad, heybike, lectric xp 2.0, and a few others. There's a lot to choose from and many in the style of the Sierra are practically identical in many ways...but the EUY stands out for a few reasons. I think what sold me ultimately was they actually compare the Lectric xp 2.0 to the NXB - I test drove the XP at Lectric showroom today and I prefer the mag wheels over the spoked of the XP ) and prefer having a horn as well as a bigger motor, wheels, and some free things they throw in on the EUY. I'll add a celI holder and a few other things when it arrives, can't wait to get out there and ride. The pedal assist is a great way to stay in shape whilst being able to go farther faster using the same pedal energy without killing your knee's.

Thanks for the video, and I'm definitely going to buy a class 2 label if it doesn't come with it.

I would look for 17.5 ah battery or more with a minimum of 750 watt motor. A weight of under 75 lbs with battery .. Fenders and rear rack. Throttle only speeds up to 28 mph and capable of 30 mph. This bike is almost there.. Just another few mph and larger battery. 52 tooth front sprocket with 11-34 rear tooth gears would be good. Throttle only should be usable to max speed in any PAS . in other words, must be user choice to unlock to class 3 in both PAS and throttle only.. With labels you should be fine. Mine goes 35mph in throttle or PAS 5. No problems with law enforcement ever. But mine is 1,000 watts 52V 20 Ah .. I wish that folding bikes had the same specs. A bike such as the Wallke H6 is a good starting point.. Just needs to be a few lbs lighter

Excellent commentary. And I'd have to agree with most of that. I've got another e-bike review coming out in a day or 2 that checks way more boxes for me.

Currently, my eBike is my only mode of transportation. I have a 21 speed mountain bike style due to where I do my riding. Also, after pricing spare parts such as battery, drive motor, Etc. ... I found it more advantageous to just buy a second identical bike. As luck would have it, my original seller was out but I located a shop that was selling out and I actually got a second identical one for less than I paid for the first one. Win/Win

The speedometer not working without the motor being on needs to be fixed and a phone app is not a real remedy. I want to know the speed when coasting down a hill as well. Also the pedal assist setting shouldn't limit or control the throttle. Seems like a decent bike but I'm not a fan of fat tires. Folding is cool but not for a commuter bike. Folding is good if you need to carry it up stairs or to your work space. That cool wears off lugging 60 lbs up a few flights of stairs. Guess I just don't see the niche this fills.
@ReeWrayOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I do definitely agree about the speedometer...that was not ideal (not a deal-breaker for me, but kind of annoying). The folding capability does come in handy now and again, but I'd also agree that it'd get pretty tiresome having to lug it up and down stairs with any degree of frequency!

im still debating on getting one. i have a camper which itll fit easily inside. but my daily is a camry, basically a midsize vehicle. do you think that would be able to fit in the back seat?
@ReeWrayOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
hmmmm it's still pretty bulky when you fold it... My guess is that you'd at least need a hatch-back kind of car - don't think it'd fit in the back seat of a mid-size sedan like a Camry.

Thanks ReeWray for this great video, Can U or someone tell me if this nxb ebike can start out from zero with throttle only? (no paddling first)
@ReeWrayOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Yes- it defnitely will engage the motor with throttle only from a standing start.

Nice review! I bought a Lectric 2.0 Ebike about a year ago. It is very similar to yours. It is class 2, but can be programmed to class 3 by the owner if desired. It reads out the speed and mileage continuously too. It's roughly the same price or cheaper, plus they have great service. Thanks.
@euybike2 жыл бұрын
I'd call it the Lectric XP 2.0 killer. The same model configuration is one grade higher than XP 2.0, The 750W motor is more heightened than XP 2.0's 500W, Equipped with a 12.8Ah battery, 3.2Ah more than XP 2.0. NXB is equipped with 4.0-inch fat tires and Lectric is 3.0 inch, Lectric's comfort seat still costs $79 to buy, NXB is free, and most importantly, they are sold at the same price.

6'2 250 pounds think this bike would work?
@ReeWrayOutdoors Жыл бұрын
I think this particular bike (and probably most foldable e-bikes) might feel a bit small for you...like you're a bit 'over the handle-bars'. It could certainly work, but I suspect you'd find other non-foldable E-Bikes more comfortable. Personally, I like the Hiboy P6...as does my friend who is 6' 2"...just feels more appropriately sized and puts you more behind the front wheel instead of over it. Here's the video on the P6, if you want to check that out. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHyapY2ra76cbsk
