South goa is famous for less crowded and peaceful beaches and North goa for parties ( baga and calagute are the most crowded beaches of goa). Beside beaches you can go to see beautiful waterfalls also. Too humid nowadays though.

Baga Beach , I have so fond memories visiting this beach back in 2016. You can rent bikes/scooty from the nearest scooty/bike rent centres and can ride anywhere you want, I recommend you to visit Fisherman wharf a seafood restaurant in Panaji and do visit Reis Magos Fort on your way. The Ride will be awesome with the scooter and the food will be worth your time and money.

Visit, Miramar Beach, dona Paula jetty (check the story behind the name) and vaiginum valley Beach, (best views when you go down from main road to beach, with the hairpin bends), half hour from panaji and busses available. All the above places within 5km of each other.

Check out my video about 13 north goa beaches and see which one you like maybe a more quiet one. If you find a facebook group about the place, just search FB with the name, then ask about finding a place to rent to get ideas of prices. Get a place away from the beach and just drive their on your scooter for lower prices. If you stay more than a month can negotiate lower prices but best to buy a place for a few days while you explore the area in person and then negotiate as you can find stuff not listed and get better prices than buying in advance

Alright... let's get to the point. The beaches that you Google, avoid them because of the rush and mess. There are many other better ones which aren't that messed up. Also, being a Goan, it's cringy to see tourists getting looted there.

It was not like she asked an exorbitant amount. All I am saying is that you didn't had to be that 'strong' bargainner 😀.
