alan moore was right. this is an overly simplistic & pedantic take that completely misses the point of what he was saying. this video actually made me kind of ashamed to have enough of a habit of watching this kind of manbaby nerd stuff on youtube to get recommended this by the algorithm. "well actually 🤓 there are many continuities in the dc universe and a lot of writers are writing mature stories" god do you think the people criticizing superhero media don't know this. its still a character for 12 year olds. the fact that adults in this country need a plastic action figure character to pick up a story with "mature themes" is what's concerning. we are living in a fascist state but yeah let's get defensive when somebody gives a grave warning about the trap of perpetual childhood, because well actually we like the COOL ADULT version of thomas the tank engine with adult swearing and sex in it
