We bought our 2001 Lexus LS430 four years ago when it had 262,000 miles. Now we're at 285,000. We'll show you what we paid along with repair bills to let you decide whether it's a good deal for you.

I just finished a 5,300 mile road trip around America in my LS 430. I replaced the original alternator and VVT solenoids halfway through the trip. Other than those maintenance items, the car was fantastic and averaged 25 mpg.

The quality of a used Lexus is definitely better than a lot of used new cars out there especially the LS430. Very good choice.

I've had a 2002 Lexus LS 430 for 3 years! It doesn't have the expensive air suspension or radar system but, this was a deliberate buying decision on my part! The buy in cost for my Lexus was only 8k! The original owner purchased this car for over 70K! My biggest expense was to replace the water pump and timing belt (all a part of regular maintenance!) The car has been a dream to drive, I love it, and I would seriously consider buying another LS 430 again! Car was built with tender loving care, as it appears to be one of the best cars Lexus (Toyota) has ever built! The car is the"relentless persuit of perfection!" Thanks for sharing!!

I have a 2004......a bit of the same rust with 130k.....looking everywhere to replace......nothing compares and I'm keeping it.....everything has been done except the rust!

I'm looking for a Lexus right now, tomorrow I'm going to see a 2004 LS 430. Actually I'm looking for a GS 430, but those are pretty hard to find here in N. Texas right now, so I thought why not try out the top of the line. I hope it's in good condition, all I know is the paint's crap but the interior looks nice. I've bought lots of cars in my life, but never one with over 100K miles on the clock, so I'm a bit nervous about that- but everyone agrees, Lexus' just keep on going. So here's hoping it's a good one, the price seems right, he's asking $4800 which isn't bad if the car's good!

I just came across your video because I am researching Lexus LS 430's and I have decided to try and find a good 2006 model with no more than 150K miles on it but I can not believe how much they still want for them. I am currently driving a 1996 Toyota Avalon with 102K miles on it but I want a Lexus LS430 and they look like fantastic cars.

You should compare how much a LS430 is now with similar km, Covid has skewed prices. That would be interesting. A 430 with 425k or 370k km in Australia is between $15k-$23k crazy $$

Seems high costs on tires and brakes. Just picked up a 2004 with 213k. T-belt $1600, tires $600 did brakes myself for $430. Great car! Drives like a dream. Great video, oh and your wife is stunning btw..

Tires cost me between 800-900 for continental contact sports for my 05, so not sure what you bought for only 600

Guys- that can work with any used car that has been well maintained- not just a Lexus. I have an 07 Mercedes E350 that I paid $5K. Replaced parts when necessary- pops the cost of the car to around $8K- there is 208K miles on it and could easily sell it for $3500. By your calculations- that’s $4500 over 2 1/2 years = $150 a month. And a Mercedes is a lot of fun.

thats not bad 2200 for 267k miles them cars last like 600,000 they can defenitly go further thats just the most miles ive seen

I prefer comparison to having something of the LS ride and quality. I don't think any new 2023 car under $35k can be compared to the over-engineered LS430, the LS is just way to good. If I was buying today for $20-25k, I would rather buy 2018 Genesis G90, the LS500 still out of reach for 2018 and up.

Whatever you do; under any circumstances, do not buy a GENESIS. Engine trouble up the Wazzu. Engine failure valves, white smoke out of the pipes black smoke out of the pipes… you name it. That v6 especially the V8 was a complete cluster

Mileage is just a number in a Lexus. As long as Lexus LS430 perform like a Roll Royce Phantom that’s all it matters

I agree totally with what your saying,it is so. Anyway a new Kia or whatever else is out there at present can match a a ls400 for quality and reliability let alone an ls 430.I have the highest recommendation for what you say, enjoy that Lexus!

I think you should not include the oil change cuz u will change the oil for any car u will get. Also, the brakes will not go up to 1200 usd. U can buy all parts from top quality from rockauto and take them to an expert mechanic. The whole job will cost u 700 usd.

How'd you pay only $2,200 initially for the car?? You can't find an LS430 for that little in the Midwest in any running condition.

Find 1 greenbay Wisconsin $999.00 77,000 miles I’m so excited I feel like I’m 8years old Christmas time again. I own 3 Lexus, 2 big boys. From the 90s, a 92 gold package, a 95 navy blue gold package. And I like them both so much. That I end up buying in 06 GS 300. Which I love driving all 3. Out in the town or for working days. My conclusion of this comment is you, too. Are a very wise couple for owning a beautiful diamond.👌✌️🙌👍👏👏🙏💯💝

Why does everyone say the LS430 was the best car ever built ? Does this mean that toyota got stupid with time and doesnt know or forgot how to build a quality car ? Wouldnt cars keep getting better not worse with time ? ..
