Few notes on this Tesla as the owner of the car: - the fuse was replaced free of charge by Tesla - one of the handles did break shortly after this video, and that cost was $500aud to update to the "version 2.0 door handle" - one other door handle started playing up but still okish - Telstra is shutting down the 3g network so the current infotainment system with the screen needs to be replaced with the 4g one if you want maps/Spotify.. etc to continue working. Tesla quoted around $2500 - As Cameron said still drives really well, very responsive and quiet

I personally went with a used model S P85D over a new model 3 because i felt you got a lot more for your money, free super charging for life, sunroof, hatchback, launch control, air suspension, and so much more over the model 3... not to mention way less of them in the road vs all the 3s and ys on the road.

It's a great used EV option as long as you're happy to deal with some occasional maintenance

@ProductReviewCars yep! I have had it for 3 years now and have already had to change 3 door handles and 2 sets of tires😄. The free supercharging has already made uo for those costs though which is sweet. I dint have a home charger so all I do is supercharge. But still less then my truck and old bmw.

Hi, just totaled my model Y and I’m thinking of getting a used model s as well over a new MY again. How did you know it came with free super charging , do they all or did yours say that somewhere? What year did you get? Also congrats and glad it’s all working out.

Here's my experience. In April of 2020 I bought a 2013 Model S85 from the original owner, the main drive unit and main display had already been replaced under warranty. That meant that the car I bought was on it's second drive unit and display (@90K miles). Since summer 2023 I have been experiencing episodes of the drive unit cutting out during normal driving. Within a year the issue became worse, and by the Fall of 2024 it was happening almost every time I drove the car. So in mid-November 2024 I drove it to the local Austin, TX service center and on the drive there it cut out 3 times. When I got there they said I should leave it with them (without an appointment) because it was a "safety issue". The diagnosis (the same day) was that the drive unit was failing and had to be replaced. My choice: do nothing and have eventual total drive unit failure or cough up the money and make the replacement now. I authorized the replacement~ $6700 (out of warranty). The car has 140,000 miles now and is on it's 3rd drive unit. If I had known that this was a possible issue, I never would have bought the car back in 2020. This may not be typical for all early Model S's, but I was unlucky enough for it to happen to mine. Three (3) drive units in 140,000 miles of normal driving is not my idea of a dependable car.

How was the connectivity at the underground Supercharger in Sydney? If there is no connectivity (from being underground) and you do not have your key fob with you, you will have issues operating your Tesla.

I stopped watching at buzzing when you play music. I'd rather buy a used model 3. Nothing annoys me more than not being able to enjoy music in a supposedly quality car. And yes, I liked the video, Thank You Sir
