Of course there’s a Central Jersey. It’s where Great Adventure is. We all know that.

I'm from Plainfield. I read somewhere that we are considered the Gateway City. I know Plainfield is either North Jersey or Central Jersey. We were once a Predominantly African American City, but now our population is mostly Spanish and Latin X People. It is hard for a Black owned business to exist in Plainfield, which is sad.

Central Jersey used to be distinguished by the Yellow pages years ago. When things went digital the jerseys began to merge. But I will always be from Central Jersey.

It's way more complicated than all of this. I grew up in northern-central New Jersey. In other words, the center of northern New Jersey (Morris County). This area is >>radically

Yes, as someone who was born in Morris County, grew up in eastern Central New Jersey (near the shore) and now live the south-western part of the state (closer to Philly), I completely agree with your assessment, James Matthew Gallager. New Jersey is very unique. We have everything here.
@kimsward40655 жыл бұрын
James Matthew Gallagher I also grew up in Morris County, and you can tell more about NJ from its 21 counties than north and south, so yeah I so agree

I lived in Plainfield, in Union County, for about eight years, and I think we need to draw a further distinction between East Central Jersey and West Central Jersey. East Central is just a big suburb of New York City, and West Central nobody really cares about.

"Central Jersey" is a real place, I grew up there, and never called it anything else. Central Jersey, where Subs and Taylor Pork Roll on a hard roll live in harmony. Central Jersey is the magical geographic incubator that gives the world Bruce Springstein, Jon Stewart, Debbie Harry (Blondie) Danny Devito, Queen Latifah, Jack Nicholson, Bon Jovi, Greg Anthony, Peter Criss (KISS) and so many more. From Asbury Park to Colts Neck to Redbank, to Middletown to Freehold, to Long Branch and Atlantic Highlands, the center of Central Jersey is Monmouth County. It is the coolest of the cool, which is why both North and South Jersey try to lay claim to a piece of Central Jersey. Central Jersey stands alone as the best of North and South. And don't forget, there is the Central Jersey Shore and its boardwalk, unsurpassed in its cool factor anywhere,...a place so cool, Johhny Cash built a hotel there. Stone Pony anyone?
