When I was in the Navy, a good friend of mine (no pun intended), was in my division. He was Italian, from Philly, and his buddies he grew up with were from Philly and South Jersey. One Sunday he invited me over to watch an Eagles game with him and his buddies (I'm a Giants fan), and throughout the whole game it was "ohhhh", "fuggedaboudit", and "get the f*ck atta heah." One black guy, 15 Italians, and they were some of the coolest cats I ever chilled with. Stand up guys.

My grandma would always make her own sauce. One day she pulled me aside and told me not to tell my pop pop what she was doing. She had hidden jars of pasta sauce around the kitchen that she would "doctor" up to fool my grandfather. I never said a word. Miss her so much!
