Yah but most of the referees in kabaddi seemed to be of indian origin. There was the confusion between the new and old rules. But in athletics, all the chinese officials seemed to be targeting potential indian gold winners specifically. It was so ridiculous to not count chopra's throw, or say jena overstepped or that yarraji made a faulty start. It was so clear that they didn't do anything wrong, the indian athletes. They were clearly targeted.

The officiating standards were reallly poor. Similar thing happened in Kabaddi too. Just 1:05 mins were left on the clock in the Gold medal match between India n Iran when when Indian captain Pawan Sehrawat went in for a Do-or-Die raid, he was unseccessful, still the defence persued him into the lobby area without any contact which meant Iran should have got only 1 point but India would have got 5 points. But both teams were given 1 point each, so India referred the decision through a referral and decision was overtrned to 4-1 for India then Iran referred n decision was reverted to 1-1 then India appealed again and decision was reverted to 4-1 for India but then Iran appealed again and final deciaion was 3-1 for India in that raid. All this drama went on for MORE THAN AN HOUR!!! (For perspective, a kabaddi match is just 2 halves of 20 min each, so a total of 40 mins, and just 65 seconds from the 2nd half were left on the clock when this drama started) The issue was that as per the new rule in pro kabaddi league (Indian competitive kabaddi league comprising of many national and International players including iranians) the decision would have been 1-1 but as per the old rule India would have got 5-1. The confusion was that since the new rule was brought in by a league so was it adopted upstream in the international kabaddi rules or not? And which version of the rule was in the rule book of asian games? India was adamant that the new rule hasn't been adopted yet by the international kabaddi federation and they were right! Hence the decision was 3-1 in India's favour. But now the issue is that as per old rule it should have been 5-1 and as per new rule it should have been 1-1. So, what is this 3-1 business? Is it some kinda compromise? Did the officials just made up a new rule outta thin air in real time to make both parties happy? How is it fair to the sport and its fans? Disclaimer: i have nothing against the Iranian team. They are great player with great morals. Most of Iranian players got famous beacuse of India's pro kabaddi league. Iranian Players like faizal atranchali, miraj shaikh, shadlu etc. Have massive fandoms in India. My issue is only with the incompetency of the officials, period. Anyways India went on to clinch the gold medal in that match. Btw India also won gold in womens kabaddi by defeatng taiwan.

Arunachal Pradesh became an Indian state after Independence. It's complex. (Yup! another land dispute created by the Britishers) In brief, the whole issue of Tibet (Dalai Lama asked for helped from Nehru nd took refuge in India) made China put pressures on the surrounding countries. Specially, Bhutan where they tried to grab land but Bhutan asked for support from India then donated that piece of land to us which is now the state of Sikkim. This triggered China. Now, they h've started to claim Arunachal Pradesh as their land out of nowhere.

every athelete has a rhythm, before they start the race, when one is accused of false start, the next attempt, they will ensure that they do not get out of the blocks fast, thus they are few mini seconds late but by this time the others are out of the block, if one is warned once the next time they are disqualified.

4:45 Officials said the Chinese athlete and Indian athlete Jyothi had false start. Jyothi resisted and stood her ground. Then Officials said that all complete the race first and then they will check. Jyothi was third to complete the race and her medal was upgraded to silver. As officials confirmed that the allegations of Jyothi having false start were false. Such false allegations disturbs the athlete and when actual race happens they tend to start a bit late as the allegations are at the back of their mind. Yes, if some has a false start, everyone has to restart. In the case of Neeraj, his first throw was 88+ mts clearly and the officials forgot to measure it and took the javelin out of the ground before measuring it. He was given second chance for his first throw which was much below his potential. the play was halted for 20 minutes as Neeraj had a discussion with the officials. FYI : Neeraj is an Olympic Gold Medalist. In the case of Jena, his body was clearly behind the line, still his throw was given as foul. After multiple TV replays and his arguments with the officials, they changed it to a valid throw, which the line man official was so hesitant to show the white flag.

Neeraj Chopra’s second throw was bigger than the 1st.. there was disturbing conversations after his first throw.. Neeraj’s 2nd throw won the gold .. Regarding Jyoti - even if she did not leave the line, she was raged by her disqualification which was done falsely.. now in such events, it disturbs the mindset before such a crucial event for which they wait for their lives..
