Is Cirencester REALLY The Best Place In The Cotswolds?

Does Cirencester, the capital of The Cotswolds, live up to it's reputation as one of the best places to visit in the area?
Join us as we explore this historic roman town, taking a morning walk through Cirencester park, discovering cute little passageways with an incredible cafe serving some of the best cakes we've ever had and then there is the roman amphitheatre (the less said about that the better!).
We also couldn't resist the short drive to one of our favourite Cotswolds villages, Bibury, for a walk along the famous Arlington Row. After all, one of the best things about Cirencester is it's close proximity to the rest of The Cotswolds.

Who & what is JJ Extra?
We’re Josh & Jason, a British couple with a passion for everything travel & food (and lots of coffee). Whether at home in the UK or on our international travels we seek out everything from hidden gems to bucket list destinations, trying new foods and unique drinks wherever we go.
After meeting in early 2019 with dreams of travelling the World together we were all plunged in to the chaos of a global pandemic. Now, as we move in to the future we are making up for lost time and ensuring every day turns in to an adventure, fuelled by our love of food and an unhealthy (but enjoyable) addiction to coffee.
Over the last 2 years we have explored our beautiful home country like never before and in 2022 we were lucky enough to start travelling abroad once more and our dream to travel the world together has been reignited.
We love an adventure and in 2023 we are challenging ourselves to step out of our comfort zones & push ourselves to the limit as we take on bigger adventures than ever before, visit new places & try new experiences. So come along and join the adventure, you never know where it might lead!

As a Cirencester citizen i love where I live YESTERDAY I was at St Peter’s church doing a parade and I’ve lived here my whole live I went to the same primary for 8 years and in my last year of secondary school and it is worth visiting

I grew up in and around Cirencester. Went to Deer Park school , my first job was in the Chemist in the Market square and I was a night club DJ in the Crown hotel (now a Slug and Lettuce) in the very early 80s

Just started watching the video, but wanted to let you know that I clicked on it because Cara mentioned it in her Cotswold video and I have never seen a good video of Cirencester! We live in Cheltenham , and we keep meaning to go to Cirencester but haven't made it yet. Of course we passed through it every time we take the bus from Heathrow to Cheltenham, but we really need to go have a proper visit! I'm interested to see what you highlight...
