Andre talked a lot of sense; our attack has been worrying me for a long time. Heard a lot about ‘Tony Ball’ but generally haven’t seen slicker passing or decision-making in attack from the Bokke; the disallowed try vs England was a nice exception. Seems our DNA is to barge into other backlines or kick. The Argies, Irish, ABs & French (& even the Aussies as they start to click) are light years ahead of us in this area; silky passing & decision-making, a lot of it instinctive & natural & done in an instant. They do seem to be capable, more naturally, of converting opportunities into great results. I like Andre’s idea of Rassie starting to monitor “Opportunity-Conversion”! (PS: terrific discussion with CJ; what a good bloke)

I am really happy Andrecwas talking about how we missing opportunities on attack. Something I noticed that was not really spoken about is our ball carrier running away from the cleaners. We had more than 100m more in.post contact meters, but we're often losing that ball. I see a similar thing happens when Andre plays at 12. Is it that we're are so dominant that we under estimating the distance or is it that the defending teams ate doing rope-a-dope like we did to the ftench in the world cup by letting the carrier run away from.the support before stopping them.

We scored 8 tries to 2 in two games away from home. From 12 games we lost 2 with 1 point each. We might be 60-70% to our full potential. We played 52 players. We played 12 different 9/10 combos in 13 games (13th this Saturday). I can't wait for 2025. Our attack is only 12 games into the developing process, lets wait for for 20 games into the process.

Excellent points you make! I would like to see us having more than one identity on attack… we showed some signs early in the international season but went back to our direct way of playing. It works for us and we do it very well and that is why we can grind out wins even when we don’t play well. Our Defence does not concede a lot and we break down doors to create moments in games.
