That Georgia game was evident, they played so hard and had he not gotten hurt, Florida would won easily. I not a Florida fan but I’ve most of their games, the team has played on a different level since that game. The TV ratings for the Texas and Florida game next year game will be very high.

I too watch pretty much all of their games, they have had so many injuries but their young players have played extremely hard. I knew Lagway was special watching spring game throws, but he really has a "Jordan effect" where he gives off being a winner.

Not only does he have elite pocket presence and mobility, but lagway also is able to keep his eyes downfield. Would be amazing for a pro, but this is a 19 year old freshman!

I cannot believe how much of a polished passer he is already. My Gators with the past two wins against LSU and Ole Miss is setting them up perfectly for a great finish to recruiting. I think all this late success and Lagway’s emergence will finally attract some high quality Portal guys as well. It’s been a long time since I’ve been this excited about Gators Football. I’ve been a Vols fan for 40yrs. so naturally I’m a Gator hater but I was rooting for you guys yesterday for the first time ever and yall came through. With all the talk about Napier getting canned, I was hoping they keep him and looks like he will stay, I still say he could be better in game coach but Heupel could be better too. I will have to say that the players seem to play hard for Billy and Lagway is legit so with all that said, it looks like Florida is gonna continue to be a problem for the rest of the SEC and especially my Vols 😢 Congrats on the win!! @ I agree and I love the Gators Vols rivalry they are always great games. It really looks like Napier has turned things around and I love the talent he’s brought in. But you are 100% correct he has made a bunch of knuckleheaded decisions in certain games and he still has to improve mightily in that area. As far as Heupel you guys are in great hands I think yall will be in the mix every year with him at the helm.

I'm old enough to have some recall of Spurrier's career at UF, but clearly recall Wuerffel and Tebow, along with Grossman, Trask, Grier and the others who have come along since their time. Above and beyond all of them, whether as a freshman or not, is DJ Lagway.

In some ways, he definitely is. He needs to improve his short game. We need a first rate backup for him, so that he can run. That's a big part of his game (both running and the THREAT of him running) and we really have to limit him there because we don't have a backup that can really play at this level.

Napier coached a good game Saturday. The team was really fired up. that's worth a lot. He was criticized for time management at the end of the first half, but I agree with Steve Russell that the conservative approach was right at that time. Play calling was excellent for the whole game. Gator fans need to ease up. He is going to be our coach going forward for sure.
