​@@KarmasAB123And yet the snobs keep yapping about New Vegas being flawless gospel because Obsidian had some of the "og" fallout people. The same people who ran the series into the ground after FO2 to the point Bethesda had to buy the IP for it to have a chance to survive... Absolute 🤡 pots calling the kettle black, those New Vegas snobs. I remember the game at launch. It was a buggy, unfinished mess with a game world that felt both tiny and big and empty at once. It felt underwhelming and never felt like it gave me much replay value, sadly. To me it was never really a game, just a glorified conversion mod for FO3.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: with the unofficial patches, the game doesn't crash anywhere near this frequently. Search the Viva New Vegas guide for installing a whole list of things that will make the game smoother and more stable. Just don't install any content mods until you've played vanilla once.

​@@tinmetal2329 apparently it's something to do with the aged engine being incapable to run with the modern rig...have you followed the Performance Guide linked in the Viva New Vegas bug fixes/utilities section? You need to fiddle with your GPU drivers setting too apparently, and install a separate mod linked by the Performance Guide to let modern rigs to run the game more properly

I love how you're fipping out over a "Young" Geckos. You haven't seen the full sized grown up Geckos. Not to mention you haven't seen the poison spitting Green Geckos, the irradiated Golden Geckos, and the Fire Geckos that literally shoot fire out of their mouths. I can't wait to see your reactions to the other creatures like the Night Stalkers, Cazadors, Centaurs, and of course th Deathclaws.

She'll jump out of her skin when she meets a Deathclaw. Cazadors don't seem like much until they hit you and you watch your HP get a chunk taken out of it.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen Trudy get killed in the powder ganger fight. Then again I tend to run into the thick of it and sponge most the ganger’s bullets because I want to end it quick and move on as fast as possible since I’ve played that tutorial so many times.

The just fixed the launcher for 3 in June, and it runs well after almost a decade. they may have done NV while they were at it what with the same base and all

Played new Vegas for first time on a xb360 with no net access... on a launch copy 😂 Like 18 months later I got it patched and was like "whoa, this only crashes every 30-40 min now???!!?!" Changed my world 😅

The 4gb, nvac, and other mods help. If you have pc version. I had 360 version also, didn't "crash", but locked it up to where I had to unplug the console

I just started this game and it is SUPER FUN. word of advice - do not steal too much in the beginning from goodsprings or you cant complete the mission against the powder gangers unless of course you want to join them anyway

If you drink 25 alcohol you get a secret perk and xp. I love this game you can shoot anyone or no one. Speech is awesome. Every faction has positives and negatives. It really shows how you think as a person.

Honestly if you follow a guide like viva new vegas the game runes very stable. Whenever im just going for a casual run i follow that guide and i crash *very* rarely (like 8 times an entire playthrough)

she probably made the mistake of using the stutter remover its known to cause literally constant crashes.I added it to remove a minor problem and introduced a new one! Hopefully its that and not just some FoNV 'charm" All these crashes in the Mojave.......... Almost makes you wish for a Nuclear Winter

Buying the game on steam is just a death wish. GOG version doesn't need patching to run. I bought it again through there, and it's simply more stable, even after modding.
