One thing that may have brought the Faxt X budget up so much-though I'm still doubtful that it's actually $340 Million because that just seems way too high-is the fact that Justin Lin left in the middle of production. I remember a report said that the film was hemoraging millions of dollars a day while Universal looked for a replacement because production was not shut down. They also probably had to pay both directors their salaries.

I'm thinking Fast X is going to struggle to keep a decent hold at the domestic box office because of Little Mermaid and Spider-Verse. Plenty of parents are going to take their kids to see Little Mermaid since the marketing is targeting kids very heavily and lots of parents are not going to give a damn about the race of Ariel if it keeps kids entertained for a couple of hours. Also, Spider-verse has garnered a big fanbase since the first movie was released. I think it is going to do very well. Both movies will eat into any profit Fast X and GotG3 would have attempted to make during the Memorial Day Holiday Weekend. We are getting back to the overcrowded release schedule and I hate it.

"Or until they run [the Fast and the Furious franchise] just a little too far"? A *little too far*? What possible scale could you measure that on? (If anyone can make it measurable, it would be you.) How about FFCXIX, is that too far? Keep in mind it will probably be the 132nd entry due to spin-offs, despite it's numerical 119th. This won't count the alternate Drift-verse (except the original,. Tokyo Drift) wherein an alternate casting of J-Pop stars bring the action and their own family, but would include the unofficial Bollywood (musical, of course) films that brought back Vin Diesel from his second retirement, only to reignite the speculation that Dwayne Johnson's clone would eventually reboot the franchise. When it opens automatically in the mental-plex of anyone with the iTunes implant and we have to consede that machines can look worse than the Transformers in any of Michael Bay's movies, would that be just a little to far?!? I mean, I'd probably stream it.

As a former consultant: For the road to profitability analysis, it really doesn’t make sense to show all the figures up to the last dollar. These are all rough approximations and everything past the $100,000 is just noise. It adds no valuable information, makes the visuals too crowded, distracts from the useful information and provides a false sense of certainty. Consider just showing the visuals in millions with a single decimal place (at most).
