I'm on the poverty diet. It's foolproof, simple meal plan, discipline is a non issue, forced fasting, stress. Ideal for losing weight. All you have to do is be a English speaking person in Montreal.

@@jasonwelsh417 the government will do everything they can to force you into their french schools. Welfare or french school is what they told me my options are. I can't even get welfare now. I've had several jobs but the people will either find a way to fire you or treat you like shit until you have no choice but to quit. If you speak French or have a job that you know the employer will not do this to you then you'll be fine. I moved here right before COVID so they were able to drain my resources and keep me in poverty. Police will also harass you as much as they can if they know you are English. I was arrested for "jaywalking" put in cuffs, told I was resisting, taken to the station, called a immigrant because I'm born in Nova Scotia and fined me $500. For absolutely nothing.

It's because french is the primary language there as it was a french colony for a period of time in the 18th century. So getting a job there with no french is hard but not impossible @@jasonwelsh417

Well for starters, the rule that rules them all is the total amount of calories from whatever the source. You can’t get past that one. Whatever protein-carb-fat combo you do, the total amount is the most significant one in terms of weight gain/loss. That’s basic nutrition

I watched a season of a tv show called ALONE. Basically contestants have to survive in the wild by themselves. One of the guys hunted a moose and though he could survive on it. He had a bucket full of moose fat however a wolverine stole it. The guy started to starve because the meat he had left didn't have enough fats. He had so go back to fishing to get enough fats to survive, even though he had a ton of moose meat back in his camp.

Every body is different, best to get your bloods checked to see what works for you, personally for me carbs make me put on weight very quickly, I have been on same diet as my friend and he couldn't lose as much as me just shows different bodies have different metabolism. GET YOUR BLOODS CHECKED

1. If your metabolically healthy(which is not most people btw) then a eat high carb diet. Eat your body weight in protein. Ex. If you weigh 175lbs, you'd want to eat 175g of protein. Fill the rest of your diet with healthy carb sources. Whole wheat bread, grains, legumes etc. 2. If you're not metabolically healthy(most people) try eating a high fat, high protein low carb diet.

Here's the gist of what he said: Don't eat anything that has more than 3gm of fat / 100 calories, be extra careful with sugars and eat healthy carbs with proteins. If you become too lean, add more calories and fat to gain some weight.

Yes fat is needed for hormone production like testosterone. Would never do low fat. Fat is essential, carbs are not for the body

The low carb diet for low insulin response doesnt make sense really because if you eat a fat only diet in a caloric surplus, you're still gaining fat weight.

The only way to find out is start working out and find out. You can watch a video and someone can theorize whether you can do something or not but it’s meaningless if you don’t get in the gym and find out.

Fat loss = Calorie Deficit, high protein, strength training, cardio. “Diets” are not magic. They are a way to constrain calorie intake whether it is by eliminating food grounds, reducing calories, and constrained meal windows. It has less to do with “magic of fasting” or insulin resistance. Generally speaking, if you get 1 g per pound of bodyweight and protein and you constrain the carbs and fats to a manageable degree by 2-500 calories, you will create a caloric deficit as long as you are consistent with it. As Firas says, carbs are a necessary part of a glycogenic sport. You physically cannot “store fat” in a calorie deficit unless protein is low and there is no form of training. Look into Dr. Mike israetel and Stan Efferding for good nutrition advice

150-300 kcal surplus is BEST to build muscle. If you undereat you will be in a catabolic state Eat a surplus enouh protein and use IF 16:8 to decrease insulin / increase glucagon.

Important for hormones especially testosterone. Your body does not need carbs but it needs fats. I would never go low fat

He has no clue what he's talking about. Listen instead to his student GSP who does animal based. High carb is not ancestral eating. He likely feels good on it because he is pre-diabetic and needs the constant insulin spike. Aside from eating low nutrient dense foods creating deficiencies.

I have recently stopped counting calories but I intermittent fast from sunlight to sunset and does the job. I have lost bf. Do what works for you.

When saying be careful of sugary food, you mentioned syrup, jam and honey. But, what about fruits like raspberries, grapes or blueberries? Where do they fit into your diet?

I can't answer for coach, but the fruits you listed are pretty low calorie per weight being mostly water. 100g will typically only have 15g carbs (60 calories), so a few servings of watery fruit per day is fine imo.

He said lower than 3 grams of fat per 100 KCALS. That would equate to that product have 27 kcals of fat from every 100 kcals of it eaten. Like he said the percentage of fat to eat is between 20-30%

Its real simple. Calories in, calories out. This is 2024, the research is well established. You gain weight when you're in caloric surplus and vice versa

Low cal higher protein, to get to desired fat %. Then up calories for muscle growth If anyone understands real health, its plant protein that you want, and it is as high in 100/gr of protein as meat, chickpeas, quinoa, buckwheat, pulses. Comes with complex carbs and very lean fat, human body default energy source is carbs! Not simple or refined, but complex! Meat shouldn’t be eaten more than twice a week, and within 100gr per portion This is ideal scenario for someone who want to continue eating meat, and prolonged life,. Short meat overload is of course doable , for healthy body.

3:30 IDK where you got that info from, but studies have shown that the amount of fiber in the diet is much more telling of satiation than the ratio of fat or carbs. You're not a dietitian or a scientist, so at least you have the obligation to post your sources.

Yeah, he does high proteins & carbs since all he does is combat training & that’s very cardio-intensive so he needs it for his endurance, similar to a long-distance runner. However, all the carbs make his body softer, he’d look like a beast off of high protein, high fat, low carb
