Andrew. Thanks for the comedy. I’ve been so busy down here in SoCal. It’s crazy. San Diego close to 100. Calexico was 115. It’s only 85 today here in Mission Viejo. Glad it’s the weekend. Need to watch your knot video. Thank you for this one. Have a great Friday and weekend. God bless.

Had to demo 2 units about the same size a little but smaller out of the top of a gymnasium one time. the two rooms that they where in gave us about 3ft of space to start working and we pretty much took them apart from the inside. getting the coils 15ft down to the floor was another story lol

You talk about being careful opening doors, i was working on 4 - 35000 cfm on mua's that that fed a common ductwork system that the graphics showed a tripped freeze stat. The ddc had failed on that unit and when i opened the filter rack door to reset it cut my ear almost in half because the dampers didn't shut and the other three units pressurized it. And the belimo actuators were power open,spring shut!. Can't be too careful!

Need some of those kicks lol. Did you get hired directly to JCI or did you have to go through the union? They've been constantly posting positions here (philly area) and I've applied a bunch of times and never had any luck, or even a phone call. Thinking about just biting the bullet and take a temp cut to go through the hall apprenticeship. BTW Im already 10 years in, doing commercial/indust. for the operators ua, but nowhere close to what the fitters make. Kinda at the fork in the road. Sorry for the long post, kinda venting too lol.

I have an interesting blog idea, worst hvac blunders, small or large. No names or companies mentioned, just the facts! Some of the best moments in trade school were the instructors stories about the road less traveled. I believe a lot of new apprentices make mistakes because no one has taken the time to explain to them why certain jobs are done a certain way. Could be a very interesting and humorous addition to your channel. Have people send them in and then do a weekly top ten or something. Keep up the good work, cheers

What kind of space is this that requires that much outside air labs or clean rooms ? Also how often you change the pre and final filters? Are finals hepas?
@AKHVAC6 жыл бұрын
So this was at an auto manufacturer engineering lab...that said though, they’re really only gonna run 100% outside air as an economizing feature during the winter months when they demand cooling. Otherwise it will usually run closed and open for mixed air when CO 2 levels require. Pre filters generally get changed monthly, final stages usually get done annually or semi annually
@plucy4706 жыл бұрын
Anthony Daros I've worked on similar units were they maintain 55 degrees from the rooftop and use reheats throughout the building in the winter. Pretty economical!
