Is It Better To Buy More Expensive Or Cheaper Real Estate?

Quick question ⁉️. Been living in apartments for years. Married late in my 50s. Me and my husband are desperately ready for a home but all of our friends are saying wait because the interest is too high right now. THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE WITH THAT IT'S BEEN HIGH FOR SEVERAL YEARS SO IF WE DON'T BUY NOW THEN WHEN ⁉️. SURPRISINGLY, THE PEOPLE WHO ARE TELLING US NOT TO GET A HOME. NOW, they're already living comfortably in their homes that they've had for some years, and which of course the interest was lower way back then. WHAT IS YOUR TAKE ON THIS ⁉️. Should we wait? We're not getting younger

Stop listening to too many people with poor financial execution. Interest rates though slightly higher now can always be refinanced when rates are lower. Real estate appreciates overtime and if you wait too long to buy .... you will have less buying power in the furture then you would have had if you bought earlier. Don't wait for all conditions to be right before you make your move.
