I will have to 100% Agree 👍 That PPC Are The Easiest Way To Fly. Lucky For Me My Flight Training Was Done By A Very Famous PPC Builder And Designer By The Name Of Nick Viscio. Former Owner of Heldiberg Designs Who Also Just So Happened To Be The Main Designer For The James Bond Movie The World 🌎 Is Not Enough For The Famous Parahawks Ski ⛷️ Scene. Or you could buy a paramotor and not need any license at all. That's what I have been flying for over 10 years.

You don't need a license for any ultralight, including ultralight powered parachutes. However, training is still a great idea!

It's kind of a spectrum, rather than a hard A vs. B. But generally, yes, they are designed differently.

There’s no license to operate an ultralight but they don’t want to tell you that because it would cut into the schools profit. Is it wise to just hookup and go without experience? Nope. But if you have a friend that can teach you how to fly an ultralight… they can teach you for free and you’ll be able to fly.

No it's not, and it's not the safest thing to fly either. It requires training as much as anything else, and is vulnerable changes in wind conditions and has a narrow tolerance in wind changes and thermal activity which can develop rapidly. This is where a hang glider or a Trike , offers a pilot a much wider window of safety and operation. Still , training will keep you from making bad decisions, and a great pilot will always know, no matter what he flies, will know when it's time to forget flying and just go hang out at the lake.
