I must ‘chip in’ and add a comment to this tranquil, informative video. I am about to look up Cusgarne Organic Farm Shop and see if I can find it. I loved every part of this video and this is proof that August Bank Holiday don’t have to be spent in traffic on the A30. Really loved seeing your gorgeous doggie again so full of beans. I would like to score this 10/10. Well done AGAIN

Just found this video. I was trying to find some information on Lower Cusgarne and was lead to this video. Love it. My Dad's ancestors lived in Gwennap, Cusgarne.... My husband and I were in Gwennap in 2009 and walked all around that area. It's very lovely. My ancestors appeared to live in Gwennap back into the 1600s and are buried in the church cemetery you showed. We walked all over the cemetery grounds, too. We arrived when the church was closed that day, so thanks for showing us the inside of it. It's beautiful. We each had a savory pastie and dessert pastie in the Gwennap Pit to honor the ancestors. Dad's grandfather and sibs, parents all immigrated to the USA. Thanks so much for posting this video. Less Disney, haha I wish, we live in Florida. Disney and the theme parks have made a mess of our state.

I think we could exchange notes on the impact of tourism!! Being a county that hosts a lot of tourists, in fact our population multiplies by 5 in peak season and it makes Cornwall an interesting and challenging place to live! Sarah :)

Thank you for this idyllic video of the countryside in Cornwall. And also for showing the Minecraft hedge ;-) You are lucky to have so many lovely and lush paths crisscrossing your country :-)
@CornishWalkingTrails5 жыл бұрын
Hi Torunn, Yes as far as the paths are concerned, we had no idea that it would be different for other countries. We guess it is because they have been there for many hundreds of years, linking villages by what was the only means of transport - walking! Unless you were rich and had a horse! Sarah :)
@TravellingTorunn5 жыл бұрын
@@CornishWalkingTrails Norway is mostly a stone :-) We have very few coastal paths here because the coastline is normally rocky and rises very high up straight from the sea with no plateau on top. We have more paths in the mountains but the environments are more barren and rocky than the British fields and along the coastline. It is quite beautiful in the mountains, but the paths are not always easily accessed and the surface can be demanding. There are are a lot of cabins one can borrow for a fee from "Den Norske Turistforening" which means "The Norwegian tourist association". Some of them are large and more or less like a simple mountain hotel with full board and many beds. And those cost quite a lot to stay in. Many people walk from cabin to cabin and stay overnight till the next day and then move on again to the next. But the nature and the paths are very different from those in Cornwall :-) In Norway, we have also travelled a lot by boat back in the day when roads were few or not existing. Torunn :-)

Well, what a coincidence! I couldn't watch this vid yesterday as I was guess where?.....up town in London visiting John Wesley's Chapel and the house he lived in on the City Road Moorgate! And then I tune in to your channel tonight and find you are in Gwennap & the surrounding area visiting the methodist chapel!! We will be visiting Gwennap next week. What a lovely walk...such peace and quiet for a Bank Holiday weekend. Loved the church...the Methodist chapels are quite special...google John Wesleys Chapel in London...it's fabulous, with a Museum in the crypt telling the story of his life and works. I hope I will be able to get along to Cusgarne Organic farm too for a bit of that cake! J x

It looks so interesting there & I am sure that all your followers would love to see it too!! I wanted to visit Godolphin too...but guess what...shut next week, re-opens when we go home! Grrrrr......!
