I think it was the style. Ugas didn't over react to Manny's feints and punches which eliminated Manny to capitalize on mistakes. He didn't punch for the sake of punching. He countered Manny and made each punch really count. If it's Errol, it would probably be different since Spence would like to punch and punch --which I believe creates angles for Manny to attack. We saw Manny got some successful punches when Ugas tried to brawl. Bottom line, Manny didn't have enough time to create plan B and C within 11 days.

It's hard to do what you do especially at that age. It's a harder sport compared to others. It takes a massive toll on your body. I know for a fact that he couldn't use his legs that fight. He was flat-footed. He didn't have his elusiveness and head movement. We don't know if it's Father Time or not, but I think it's catching up to him. As a fan, I understand that we hate to see him go out that way. We know he could've done so much more if his hamstrings didn't cramp up. Who knows? It's just wasn't his night. He lost. For a 43 year old retired senior to fight against an active prime champ, I'd say he did pretty well. He went all 12 rounds, not a serious Knockdown to where he had to beat a 10 count. Ugas face looked worse than Manny's after the fight. More credit has to be given to Manny as he was inactive 2 years and focused primarily in politics. Obviously it's time for him to go, but he would still dominate in the 130-140 division.

If Pac-Man fights Mayweather or someone his age it's no worries, but stepping in the ring with young fighters in their prime isn't proving anything, he's done it once and he looked good, not good enough though. I agree with both actually. But a little more on Skip side for the following reason. Keep note that this is just my speculation. One reason I'm leaning on that is because, in Round 2 (I think it was this one), Boboy asked him, "whats wrong with your legs, are they stiff or something?". I feel like something happened there, something similar to a cramp, and that just cripples your movement. If you noticed, even before the damage was being done to him, he didn't have his usual leg movement. During his warm up session before entering the ring, you can see he was bouncing like his usual self, but for whatever reason, he stopped those feet movement in the very early rounds. Let me explain why I want to believe this. I play competitive volleyball, I'm not 40 yet and I think i'm pretty healthy. One time, I did this "new" particular warm up routine right before a game. But this routine actually stiffened my calves, and this crippled my movement and I couldn't move the way I normally do. This was in my mid 20s. Ever since that day, I tweeked my warm up routine and never experienced it again for years to come, and I am now 33. I could be entirely wrong, but I want to believe he had a similar experience. In this fight, we saw Pacquiao still has the endurance to go 12 rounds. And in this fight, he got hit with good punches for a chunk of rounds. But he still went all the way and made it a tight fight. If his usual feet movement was there, I think this could have ended completely differently. And from what we've seen in training camps and more, I think we can all agree that he still has those legs. So with all that said, I do think it's time for him to retire and let his legacy do all the talking, but with what I heard and my personal experience, I want to give him one last chance, and this time it's for real.
