Came back to the game in Aug"23, and the game is sooo much better QoL-related that it feels like a different game overall. I think I started at year 2 and left at year 3~ish before coming back, and the changes are so many, it would be nice to see anyone make like a big video of "back then vs. now." Things I remember: 6 starring was a pain. You could only level up a monster if it was MAX LVL and only with the monsters in the next down category. For example, to evolve a 6* you need the 5* you're evolving on level 35 AND then another 5* to make the evolution, and if you didn't had 5 5* fodder, then you need to make them, and thesame rule applies. To evolve 1 4* you need it level 30 and have 4 4* ready. Rinse and repeat until 1*. Thats why it was common to see nat 1* as 5* or even 6*. Also, if you had a 6* lvl 40 mons while farming EXP it will still take its cut of EXP even if it was already maxed out. As seiishizo said, the "Fail to upgrade" on the runes was brutal; you could spend up to 3M on a +12 and don't even get it. (Also, no reaps, grinds or enchants; what you have is what you have) Energy Cap at 50-60-90, people say 300 now is not enough; imagine late game having to refresh energy every 5-10 runs. No auto-dungeons at all, you need to sit there and watch the full run. You couldn't do anything else; it was you and an hour of GB10, just sitting there and watching. The amount of scrolls of any type, if not cashing, felt easily like 1/5 of what it is now; you summon way more often, and overall events are way better. More recent is the change from arena grinding to just level 100 on the towers. Caiross dungeons were elemental-related, meaning LVL 1 was fire, LVL 2 was water, LVL 3 was wind, etc. It was a pain to upgrade from one level to another, since you needed a different set of monsters with a better quality run to keep progressing. This was applied to Giant, dragons, and necro. Getting a dupe Nat 5* was that, you got a dupe deal with it; you either storage it, built it, or unsummoned it; no fancy blessing or LD chance for you. You could unsummon 4* and 5*, even on accident if you spaced out. This reminds me of the common myth, "If you unsummon your dupe Nat 5* before opening an LD you will get an LD 5*" Monster Storage is so good now; it's almost unlimited. In the early days, the 120 cap was actually an update. The level-up/evolve menu is a godsend; it's really good and easy to use. The rune management menu THATs a huge QoL, the fact you easily search, replace, remove upgrade etc. Even little things like auto 10X ToA. The game is a much better position right now regarding QoL both in accessibility and progression. In the 6 months I have been playing so far, I feel like I have progressed like 3-4 times what i did on my first year. It's a good game to have on a second monitor if not trying super hard. It has a good sense of progression early; it gets slower mid-game, but the satisfaction increases as you change from getting any rune to getting the correct rune (and upgrade).

Bro as a 9 year player. Hardcore in beginning with no idea. Then took breaks on and off after my g1 guild was taken apart. This is spot on. Just got back into it regularly last year or so

I'm f2p and love the chase of making units stronger, 6 starring them and so on, for me, the improving of monsters is fun and not chasing best pvp as it's impossible. If your one to collect and improve your units, get further in pve, you will enjoy it.

Started playing a bit more than a year ago when Cookie Kingdom Collab came out. I mostly play for the box collection aspect, getting rewards from events/content drop and gradual account progression . Definitely a marathon and not a sprint. BTW, been watching all your content the past few months despite not having any speed teams lol 😅

Skillups can be a pain, took me a long time getting and skilling some specific nat4 on my alt acc. They might add a weekly nat4 Devilmon. Nonetheless SW is the best it has ever been and you can achieve a lot in a year. But even if it can be a lot of fun and you can also make friends in the community, I wouldnt recommend games like SW to anyone - its a never ending grind / progression and by mechanics like daily login/quest, events, doing Labyrinth and guildwar / siege for your guild, SW is somehow addictive.

Only problem that still remains is Nat4 Skill-Ups and LD5's New player just pulled a Carcano? Good luck waiting another 6 months so you can finally use him And its not uncommon to see 3+ years players without a SINGLE LD5 ( Talking about people that actually play, those players with 3000 days without TOA don't count ) And sadly I don't think that's going to change anytime soon

literally the worst thing about this game is the 1 month required to make ANY new nat 5 even remotely useable.. i literally despise pulling a good mon because it just means all my resources are gone. 2 months of grinding has gotten me 18 devil mons.. its insane

I've left newer high production gachas like Honkai Star Rail and even Chronicles because the game has an additional loop of always hitting pity on the important new units if you can and I find that extremely stressful as a lifetime F2P.

Returning after 5 or 6 years, one month and is impresive the QoL improvements, much better game, i enjoy the game only with improve my account, dont care about the whales.. just enjoy my own level account & runes. The only thing i notice is worst.. is the 5* ratio.. my god i remember in the past more 5* now is easy do 500+ scroll without a 5*... is a little sad..

Came back to this game after 7-8 years but it honestly feels pretty dead, barely anything got added in considering the time span. Yes, it became way farm-friendlier but only because it lost players because of exactly that reason so they rolled back on that aspect a bit. A slight pity system is a good thing, especially considering the absolute hell that was early summoners war rates. Well the rates stayed as ridiculous, but at least you get way more scrolls etc. now.

Not having a pity system is a double edged sword. You could say that it is the reason the game's surviving but it's also the reason why many ppl stop spending. It's better if many ppl buy the small packs than 5 whales buying everything.

They just need to add nat 4 skill ups to arena shop like 1 or 2 times a week and rework dimensional rune farming & rune crafting, those are pretty much the only complaints I have right now, some of my core nat 4s are not max skilled even though I am playing for 200 days in my new account, it shouldnt take that long to max a unit, especially a nat 4. Overall I have played many many gacha games before, and this is the one I always come back to since 2017 when I started playing.

NO WAY. Not until they fix the power-up/ evolve system. Try levelling fodder and it takes twice as long as is tedious as hell. Whoever came up with that is an absolute clown. Instead of click mon to evolve and tap mons to feed you've got to click the mon, click evolve, open up a box, find select which ones to feed, rinse and repeat. I came back within 24 hours I was gone.

I will never come back to this chore of a game. But I'll always be reminded of the miracle that occurred during my time; got Tiana from a Mystical Scroll in 2016. She was my most wanted and ended up being my very first 5*. I couldn't believe it. Maxed her out immediately and climbed pretty high up in the Arena. Her kit was all I needed for countering the current meta at the time. It was great. But yeah not going back. Had too many 5*s and couldn't get proper runes. Felt like slavery farming forever with no results. Nuked my account in 2019 and never looked back.

I also want to know what your thoughts are on toa hard and hell, maybe also going through monsters from each attribute and where you think we could use them, along side of a nat 3 water monsters- nat 2 water etc. i also would look at free to play arena defence and offence, a lot of new players get confused by the teams on for it including me, also ive watched all your progression videos and everything new from there, I think it would really help us or just me to see how you plan where youre gona farm and how many runes is enough etc. also maybe would be nice to see labryth teams and maybe just watching you clear them with different teams.

People commenting on how they gave up on pvp to « just enjoy » other content proves how this game is still garbage after 10 years. The resistance & accuracy stats just don’t make sense, depending if you’re in defense or offense arena, and violent procs in not-RTA pvp is still a pain in the ass. You all have to understand the reason why ppl stay in this game is because after years of playing, you don’t want everything to go to waste. Basically, you’re stuck.

I usually like to go for the TOA Packs, Daily’s 1/2/3 and Monthly Pass. Just under 100. Plenty of crystals to keep it farming all month depending on how active you are and the rewards are pretty substantial for the cost.

as mentioned by Stan, Daily pack 1-2-3, Toa pack and login pass are high value. Currently the secondary 15day login pass thing we have is highest value pack i've ever seen in the game. During Xmas and the game anniversary(april), they have good special packs. of 100$ in 1 pack. Therefore i'd say if you were to spread out 100$ a month, make it lower on other months and spend more on xmas/anniversary.

If u r new and intend to play this game, just change to another games. This game name is FarmersWar not sw. Ld ms is nothing when the ld5 rate is 0,35% and u only can buy ld5 ms pcs with a small amount/week. I got 1st ld5 after 3k days included 1yr offed. 30* toa hell, g1 arena :))

Tried playing it for a few weeks, and it’s really not for me… I see the amount of strategy needed at higher lvl bases and it looks amazing, but after a few weeks and it’s still braindead, for real? After a few weeks of SW I could already enjoy its complexity to a certain extent.

i disagree on that one. my alt was able to join a G1 guild in about 3-4months fully f2p. sure i was losing most of my hits, but i could still win quite some. Its just about how you use the resources.

I played Idle Heroes about 7 years ago. Endgame is way quicker to reach in Idle Heroes. Summoners War is a marathon. Grind every day

I tried to play it, but not having a pity system of some sort for new players feels bad. Even with the plethora of free summons you get as a new player, you're most likely going to end up with a few good nat 4's and 1 or two garbage nat 5's. Most nat 5's are trash, unless it's an LD. This was my experience after a little over a month of playing.

Dont play this game. You have to spend 1000s to complete. Its rng and its never on your side. After 9 years i have 1 ld5. Im quitting this game finally. Farm uour job. 😅😅

No its not worth it ....main purpose of this game is to farm runes for rta ..as long as whales exist theres no way a f2p can be successful. ...not to mentioned the terrible runes drops and summon mechanic's.. Tons of f2ps have grinded for years ..but they cant go above c3 .....cuz they font have money to buy 6 star legend runes/grinds and not all of them r having meta monsters In some situations having a better monster collection can help a person to blitz through pvp
