It needs extensive work (which is what they’re doing now) or needs replaced once all their warranties are up. I bet they don’t wanna splurge as much money as it needs on it.

Buy or sell: Hershey Park and Dollywood are criminally underrated by the GP for thrill destinations. Something happens to put these 2 parks on the same level as SF and CF flagship parks, and they now actually have the collection to back it up. Tons of marketing availability at Hershey Park, and Dollywood just needs Miley or Dolly to put more focus on it. Lots of people don't know they even exist. It could be something totally different. But these 2 parks are going to surge in popularity in the next decade. I strongly believe it

I think this is unlikely, but I do think the Intimidator theme makes a lot more sense in Carowinds (which is in the heart of NASCAR country) than it does at Kings Dominion. The one thing I could see happening here is that the licensing deal with the Dale Earnhardt estate for the name could expire at some point, but that depends on how long the deal was for in the first place.

I could see a Mine Train going away if a specific park sees something really compelling that they could put in its place. But right now, there's actually an undersupply of major-but-mild family rides, and they are always very popular, even if they can't be touted as the big headlining ride of a park. I've been glad to see Vekoma and others getting back into that market, but the Arrow Mine Trains are already there and generally running OK.

I don't think it's going to happen for the sole reason that it's too expensive. The proliferation of launch coasters means you don't need to go as high, and hyper coaster lift hills are really expensive.

I’d still keep your eye on Gravity Group. On TikTok Great Escape hinted at more announcements for the parks 70th anniversary in 2024 with THE COMET in the background. 2024 is also the Comets 30th anniversary at Great Escape. They may have also contracted Gravity Group to do some refurbishment on the Comet. Great Escape and Gravity Group have a booth at IAPPA so we could see an announcement there.

B&M family coasters will be the more exclusive family coaster model. Family coasters for universal, SeaWorld and Busch gardens etc. The highly themed immersive family coasters like hagrids. Merlin entertainment is also buying these as they have possibly as good of a relationship with B&M as Sea World or even better. They have a massive collection with B&M, a great relationship between the designers which goes back to Nemesis in 1994. They worked together to make the b&m dive, B&M Wing and Flyer. And they have a ton of wing coasters in their lineup with The swarm, Raptor, Flug Der Dämonen and both of the family wing coasters at Legoland and Chessington World Of Adventures. I can 100% see Merlin adding family b&ms to their collection in the future because Merlin loves their theming and they love b&m.

SeaWorld seems absolutely stuck on working with B&M these days. If you think about it, just about everyone else has given them some trouble at some point, but with B&M it always seems like smooth sailing--the biggest problem I can think of with a B&M happened at a Cedar Fair park (and B&M was all over it from jump).

I have to disagree with Xcelerator getting removed. I think Cedar Fair wants to see how successful Top Thrill 2 is with the LSM launch from Zamperla. If it works well, I can see them adding it to Xcelerator. After all, that coaster doesn't need a backwards spike since it's only an 82 mph launch, so a single forward thrust should be enough power for an LSM.
