Nathan Lyon is simply the best off spin bowler at the minute. Nothing fancy, just traditional orthodox stuff, tactically on point and killer attitude. Though one thing to be noted is that overall defensive batting technique against spin has drastically gone down globally, Asians don't play spin quality spin very well anymore. That's also one of the reasons in my opinion!

Fix your national cricket broadcast commentators. They're a disgrace compared to these guys.

I've been on the 'Will Pucovski needs to retire' train for a while, but the vision of that Meredith short ball just cemented that opinion. Didn't try to play a shot, didn't try to evade. Just froze, braced, and then 'clang'. You're not going anywhere if that's your instinctive technique against the short ball. He is cooked, 100%.

I love the energy Marnus brings to the team in the field but gee you’d want him to make something decent in the next test. Otherwise what, maybe Smith to 3 and Bancroft opening? But they’re right, they won’t mess with the line-up pre-India
@Bevan-z6b8 ай бұрын
I think, Smith should not be opening imo. He should bat at 3, Green at 4 and Marsh at 5 and Head at 6.
@adarsh77768 ай бұрын
What the hell did he do wrong asshole he scored 91 not out and 31 in the first innings batting position isn't his problem it's his exaggerated movement everyone knows that when Smith was in his prime he moved less and left balls well and knew where his off stump was

Talent disparity is not that wide actually. Only difference between bith batting performances was cam green's innings

Australia's batting is very dodgy and has been for a while. There are no reliable batters consistently scoring. Australia is very vulnerable as the West Indies showed

Yeah ridiculous comment. Bowling wise perhaps yes. Batting wise we are overrated and have been since the ashes. We're lucky one always stands up.

@@bibek12332 that doesn't change the fact that the Australian batting is very fragile. They have made 400 just once this season. The batters aren't doing their job and have been rescued by the bowlers. They couldn't even chase down 210 against the West Indies.

Will Pukovski ducked into that bouncer. Hard to watch. But can Cricket Australia keep exposing Will to his own problems with bouncers and history of concussions? It’s sad for him, but he’s wasting a batting spot right now. Shield cricket is needed to produce the international players of tomorrow. Surely Will won’t get picked again for Australia.

Why does Craddock always have to explicitly & implicitly criticise and/or have a dig at Cameron Bancroft as opposed to Marcus Harris or Matthew Renshaw? He seems somewhat obsessed by Bancroft.
