Is Laurel Falls Worth It at The Great Smoky Mountains | Gatlinburg, TN

I was there in late October. The crowds were light and there were parking spots so we decided to check it out. It was nice but there are other ones just like it. But the cool part was seeing a mama bear and her two cubs slowly moving down the mountain almost parallel to us 50 feet away. They paid us no attention and kept their distance....as did we.

We climbed it in the early spring just after a couple days of snow fall. So pretty. But that trail was iced over, thank goodness for hiking poles.

What is great about that trail is that it is so popular. If you start climbing and have some problems, there are plenty of people who can get help to you.
