Shwetabh talks about how living in foreign western countries is compared to living in India. He talks about the differences based on the smallest of things like traffic to people, culture, and even communities. He talks about how influences from movies and tv shows might make us think a certain way about the western way of living, and how surprised you may be.

I live in New Zealand, believe me it is totally crime free, corruption free country. Even people do not lock their homes. Food, fruits everything is so pure. Salaries are really good, you can buy what you want. Free healthcare, education. No VIP culture for politicians or celebrities, no bribe, cops are friendly, not like if you got Khakhi Dress and thinking other citizens like dust particles. Life is so pure here. I am not like earning more and more money, My main motive is good living standard, pollution free, corruption free culture and where every citizen of the nation is equal.

I'm in Sydney Australia and everything he said is 100% true. And one weird example I want to add is, It was my Birthday and some of mine workplace Aussie friend organised my birthday party in a restaurant, ordered food they like and when it was time to pay bill everybody paid their own bill but I was about to pay all their bills. Later on I came to find out that no matter whose what function it is, they order their own and pay own. Not like our culture only Birthday boy pays everything.

Living in Ireland and the lifestyle and standards are centuries ahead of India. - Great roads to drive on - Clean non polluted air - Euros in earnings instead of INR - Nice houses - Less chaos - Clean touristy places to visit - Great working culture - Very limited nepotism - No fighting over religion - Modern yet traditional - Very family oriented - Pet loving society I could go on and on and on. Family oriented and limited nepotism in Western countries are a big lie 😂. Asian countries are 100 times more family oriented. Not being family oriented and having multiple relations is considered to be cool in most of the Western countries including Ireland. Most of the people die lonely coz of depression. I am saying this with my personal experience after visiting several foreign countries for more than 10 years now. Also there is no fight over religion coz 99% of EU countries follow Christianity or are Atheist ( who are tolerant towards all religions) .. Less chaos is coz of less population being a small country. Nice houses depend on each individual and not a country on the whole. Same goes for working culture and cleanliness

In Foreign, we have everything, except a sense of belongingness to the roots. This sense is inherent and you can't override it if you were born or raised in your home country. Being Born and raised in India but we feel left over, my brother was sad because he wasn't treated well because of looks and appearance. So he got transferred to S. Korea, even that country is foreign but he get treated well. So there a problem in our country and we can't changed because of other people mentality. Once a man was in Japan. He wanted to buy some apples but couldn't find them. In little frustration, he exclaimed, "what type of country is this! Even apples are not available". A Japanese person heard this. He quickly went and brought some apples and gave it to the person who was looking for the apples. Then he said, "please take this with you, and enjoy the fruits. When you go back to your country, do not say you couldn't find apples." Protecting our country's image and being a preserver of it is also a patriotic act. While here in India, if they see someone looking like someone from other state or city, they are already ready to scam you or to charge you more thinking you are a fool. Bargaining culture started from here. Look at videos of foreigners who are planning to come here. Almost everyone says, be aware, roadside sellers and transport service guys might scam you.

Hell no. I've seen west myself and if you're introvert, it'll be hell. Specially US. You'll hardly socialize if you don't drink. In many cases drinking is a part of socializing. Doesn't matter how much of an introvert you are, you'll crave socialization after a point when loneliness hits during winters when you can't go out without wearing a full suit of armor or you don't see proper sunlight for more than 4 hours a day. The random people you meet won't be your friends like in India and the ones whom you were introduced to today won't remember you in a week. But everything comes from experience. You have to see it for yourself to realize that if you don't leave in a war torn underdeveloped country, you're better off staying where you are. Introverts often cannot find partners and complain about having a hard life in western countries. The society itself is individualist but also extroverted. Asian countries are wayy more introverted.

I absolutely love how all professions are equally respected in many of the western countries. Plumbers, electricians, maids and anyone else who provides personal services, they are putting equal amount of effort and time into their work as any other profession. They don't deserve to be looked down upon. They deserve to be paid equally for their efforts. In India, as some professionals like doctors, lawyers and top-notch engineers are highly respected and paid, the education system is getting economised. People are paying fortunes for coaching classes and not achieving anything. Students are under immense pressure, many succumbing into depression. Shame.

@@thefantasticcreator1 Compared to India, professions requiring provision of service are still respected in Western countries as they should be. If in the UK, I go on to tell someone that I'm a waitress, they won't care or won't treat me as someone inferior or useless or unsuccessful, unlike in India. While I agree that if I were to say that I'm a doctor, it will be sound more impressive to anyone from around the world, but that's because people associate intelligence and hard-work with it.

Lived in Taiwan for Four months and Singapore for 2 months . Go abroad if you want a high quality of life along with the will to work hard . You wash you own clothes , clean your own toilets but unlike India students can make a decent income working part time jobs and take care of basic necessities and some luxuries . I hate the modern Indian life of taking everything for granted (like servants ) in exchange for a low quality life . Also work culture in India is super toxic so lets not forget that. I prefer working hard and earning a high quality life abroad instead of living like a Raja Beta in India .

I knew things would be going to feel lil different so here we go Ordering coffee and some food from few different places and finding no one greeting you or even bothering you to say thank u or sorry and serving customers while talking over the phone or playing pub g haha . Third one when my father picked me up and on the way back home i have seen so many vehicles driving wrong side and creating chaos but My father was cool with it since Thats they way we drive and we are use to all that traffic and honking . So expirenced so many different things over the visit but one thing i would like to mention is There is no Magic happening here in other countries ..its more of People follow rules because they cant avoid fines while breaking the rules and slowly its becomes the habit of following the rules . No one look down on you regardless whatver job you do for living since you earning your own bread . and most of the times people are treated Equally even if its a common man or a president (for instance: Recent incident happend here where the PM of Australia Scott morrison was in conference held in front of someone’s house and this house owner came out asking people and scomo to move away since they were all standing on the freshly cut grass “ 😁 . I have been living in Sweden for the past 1 year and most are true as you've mentioned however, there are times when they take your culture and you paint them in your color. And yes, I have friends where I can stay overnight without issues and I have not felt lonely till date. Always have someone around me. But yes, I have got a white friend or two who act like Indians like now with me. Guess it all depends on the person who they are with.

Frst i put a foot down to cross but my family was way behind walking up to me so i thought I'll wait fr them and i backed up on the footpath again. But then the car waited n i also waited he rolled his window down n told me to go frst. Woh bhi Hummer car thi. I was like 😱😱😱. Also said shukran so he also smiled n went away
