The only reasons I can think of why Blackbeard would show up in Elbaf are: - To get information about the man marked by flames and the fourth road poneglyph - To free and recruit Loki as the evil sun god for his crew. There are also two other reasons that may back up this idea like - They both killed a father figure for a powerful devil fruit and... - They both have a love for chaos and destruction But its also obvious that Shanks and Luffy will team up to take Blackbeard down so its only fair for BB to also team up with someone that is yonko or even elder level to make the story more interesting (Kuzan doesn't count because we all know that he will eventualy betray BB).
