After releasing this video I rewatched the deep dive, read his twitter, and his responses to comments on his owjnvideos. I lean now towards the perspective that he shilled and is still doing it. Despite my video offering the optimistic perspective.. The majority in my comment section disagreed and felt he shilled, and it's hard for me to defend his actions.

You should see what EA has done to american football, the madden franchise. The peak of that franchise was in the ps2 era. EA repeatedly added features, removed them, and then re-included them years later as "new features" hoping people would forget. And since EA has exclusive NFL rights, we are screwed.

Thanks for putting this together we saw this happen with Madden and FIFA and now UFC. We saw this happen with KREALO in the MUT community was "one of us" then hired on as the voice he eventually quit the job because he was a punching bag. Its a galaxy brain move by EA its literally 3 birds with one stone 1.Silencing the biggest Critic (he was super vocal on issues from 4 before partnership shown on page) 2. Gets his fans to buy which adds to more pre order and sales 3. This is actually a fair critique and in a way respectable vid. However I don’t think martial is “selling out” but rather taking advantage of an opportunity. His follow up videos and comments on others seem genuine and obviously EA isn’t gonna allow him to slander the game on their channel. Frankly the only way to know for sure is after the game is released. Ok im currently playing the beta and let say, its similar to 4 but its def not 4. Ufc 4 was so atrocious on release i immediately went back to ufc 3 and didnt play much. Ufc 4 striking was like ufc 3 striking but more fluid. Ufc 5 striking feels alot slower but heavy damaging strikes feel heavy when they land in terms of feedback, taking a injury can have a substantial role. When in firefights you def dont want a hook to land clean now or it can rock you big if youre trying to rock em and sock em. Ground game is alot easier in tems of denials for transitions but it also made it so if you dont play intelligentally you can be subbed very easy. But you can also ground and pound freely in subs. Theres also alot more little detail to the transitions. I noticed a a stand up from scarf i switch to side control knees deep in armoits and on the hip and get very chest heavy before i stand now. Pretty realistic in detail. People will complain its the same game will fail to realize you can only change so much. Striking counters are pin point now, headmovent isnt as taxing unless someone body shots you and submissions now dont break immersion with a stupid minigame. This isnt a game you can just get on and brawl it out and thats peoples problem. You actually have the fight smarter the better you become and actually fight technically. Lets just say if you headmovement is not on ppint or your not good at interrupt with combos a striker will almost almost flash kos a grappler 2:30 first round. Def not ufc 4. So far the only thing thats the same from ufc 4 is the clinch, and headmovent on ground. Everything else is reworked and revamped.

Depending on connection pretty good, just throwing hooks and uppecuts maked them slow and easy to read, but when thrown in combos theyre pretty decent. Izzy can easily drop you off a counter and costa has very heavy hooks you dont want to stand in front of and take.

I think what makes it worse for martial is that he legit trains, and competed, and him saying what was wrong with ufc 4 made it better since he actually knows how fights should look and feel, and to see this complete different person who's saying a update to UFC 4 is now authentic, realistic, and the true experience really hurt a lot of his audience. Not to mention martials behavior to criticism hasn't been well I don't know how to feel, on one hand I'm happy for martial making bank for his family, but he betray his reputation as the go to man for honest, and correct facts. I feel like a lot of people will turn away from him since some people might see him as the man who tried to say UFC 5 was the authentic UFC experience

I hate the way he treats Undisputed. That's the first boxing game for more than a decade, it's made by a small studio and he compares it to the ultimate sequel of an EA game... We all know what a sequel is, and UFC 5 isn't that, yet Martial made "a whole video" praising the new mechanics.. Did you complain of him making a whole video? Now truth be told I don't expect any of the above to matter to you. But it does to people who have integrity. I worked for an online gambling firm as a designer, when I met the consumers first hand and realised the role I play in getting them to waste their money, I resigned that month. Everyone's different.. If you think it's up to the consumer to not fall for the manipulation, then we can agree to disagree, and I'll continue to make "whole" videos calling out what I believe to be bad practices.

Martial's entire fanbase has been anticipating UFC 5, possibly even more so Martial's own anticipation for UFC 5. Whoever was gonna buy it is still gonna buy it. People stuck with this game for years through all of its bullsheeit. Whether he teamed with EA or not, those copies were good as sold. It's just an added bonus to see him there. As a fan of his work it just shows how respected he is amongst the community. With that being said, a man of integrity he will forever be. If this game is shit, no EA paycheck is gonna stop him from telling us that. Even if he's focusing on positives, which he often does, when the negative comes he'll be there to spit those bars too, as he has already has I understand the concern. Here's the thing though Bro. You have to understand who you're buying from. EA are a bunch of business men who don't even know the names of their own games. They outsource developers / designers to work on these updates for cheap. They hold the monopoly over these licenses, therefore no one can compete. You no one buys a game for $100 to see if it's any good. We go by reviews and critiques. The influencers are saying this is better than UFC 4 (which it will be) Whereas normal people playing the Beta are saying it just feels like an update to UFC 4, and that it's trash.
