@@agmor1 Sydney had a bunch of injuries and outs for that game so that win for Port was more of a loss for Sydney than it was a win for Port. Port played Geelong well and you along with everyone else would not have given them a chance to win that. No Farrel, Marshall or Houston who are key to their game style. Ports list is shallow and you only need to look at their final against Sydney to see this.

Hoping that 4 big 'ifs' are going to happen and then result in a premiership is the type of dreaming that has made Port a "finals choker". All sides have injuries, good sides cover them with well prepared back-up players, average sides do not make excuses, poor sides that never improve always say "if only". Hinkley's "Us Against Them" mantra works in the bush (Castlemaine) and suburban leagues (Bell Park) but a lot more tactics, maturity and big city savvy must be there to get to a Grand Final.

Ken needs some time, to think about what is best for Ken personally, not as the current coach. Port will go down next year, and it could be for a few years, so he has nothing to gain, only much more stress. Call it after 11 games, and help guide and assist the next bloke if it is to be Carr, get into the seat, for the last half of the year, and give him the keys for the last month.
