@NoudvanHarskamp7 ай бұрын
Thanks for this video! I would like to see a Landr review as one of your team members advise it if one only releases covers. I am very curious why that is the one you recommended for people that only release covers😎

They make it really simple with payments appropriately - it's like $15 a track.

So I appreciate your content and find it really helpful, but I thought I was getting a full-on comparison chart when I signed up for the "free comparison chart" listed in your description. I went through your "free vault" and there is no comparison chart. It's just a list of ways to assess if the distributor is right for you, or what you call "Distributor Assessment Guide." Totally different from a comparison chart. I would be annoyed if there weren't any other freebies in there...actually I still kind of am because I thought I was getting a comparison chart and really wanted that honestly. So you may want to consider providing exactly what you say you are gifting us for future people who may sign up and feel the same way (which many people probably will because it's a bait & switch). I get that you are gifting us this content, so I'm grateful for what you are giving. However, I'm still "paying" with my email address (aka my attention), so it would be great if you'd just deliver on what you promise. Best!

Problem is tunecore is stealing artists money up front and rejecting their music, cd baby bans people soon as their royalty amount kicks in, and distrokid has the same type of bad rap. All of them are completely robotic repsonsss after clmmiting fraud. Seems to be the case right now for all of the distributors out there.
@jorgaridya70857 ай бұрын
I can tell you for sure Distrokid will not help when when an issue with Spotify come in. Right now, for some reason Spotify flag my lastest single. Without any proof Distrokid re.oved my song from Spotify. I being emailing me to provide me with proof of my wrong doing, which is none because I never submitted, contacted or paid for any streams. However, my song was live for 3 weeks and Distrokid even took $75 dollars I had on my royalties account. Which makes no sense because they can't argue it was Spotify royalties. We all know, Spotify take 3 months to pay royalties. So it seem it was a fine. Again, without any proof. I just requested to get all my music out of Spotify. So Fuck Spotify and Distrokid

@@jorgaridya7085 so 100000 songs a day right being uploaded. They won't go after the very few indie artists they allow to make a killing. Why would they when they get just rob every other artist as soon as they hit their 20,50, or 100 dollar payout limits. Of the 100000 uploads a days that's probably 99,990 of them. They can afford to allow their chosen couple to eat to let their scam keep running while robbing the rest of the artist community for their upfront fee and first streaming amounts. All too small In numbers to make it worth the angry artist to fight back individually but on a large scale they are stealing billions. Same couple people probably own all these platforms as it's clear none of the original owners are still around and robot technology is at the heart of it all

what about the fake stream bots on spotify that are being directed to your songs that are on those playlists that are supposed to help you get more streams.
@IndieMusicAcademy7 ай бұрын
If you're getting primarily human listeners then you have nothing to fear. If bot playlisting is your primary method of promotion, then Spotify might flag you.
@wo-and-lo-yinz7 ай бұрын
@@IndieMusicAcademy The bot companies are grabbing the songs off these playlists etc. and putting them on their fake stream playlists, to try to get people to sign up with them-the bots companies do not ask us if it is ok -spotify sees the fake streams,tells your distributor and they ban you and keep all your money.

@@sparkleswrld that's what the bot companies do to try to get you to sign up.
@johncomboАй бұрын
Until the bot situation is resolved (which it will never be as long as its beneficial for Spotify due to "pro rata" model"), using Spotify and music distribution is just asking for it. Its completely out of hand, artists have no control over their tracks being used in botted playlists and then having these tracks removed and money and momentum lost and no way or fighting back. Literally Spotify can just make up any BS they want and theres not a single thing you can do. Its complete and utter garbage. Only use it if you dont value your music and love to deal with BS.
