I loved this!! I love T Kingfisher! So many great books. Beauty and the Beast was always my favorite fairytale growing up but, I haven’t really thought about it as an adult.

I need to read more Kingfisher books! :) I would love to read a retelling of Beauty and the Beast (my favorite Disney princess). I'm sure there's a retelling! Also... I just created a Discord server for booktubers. I hope you'll consider joining it. :)

Sounds interesting, Ted. Fairy tales are some of my favorites. My favorite fairy tale is probably The Juniper Tree, and the reason I like it...? Probably because of how dark it gets with that bowl of soup.😉

Thanks for the recommendation, Brian! I'll need to look at The Juniper Tree. :)

@Adventures_in_Literature I had to look up The Juniper Tree. Holy Moley! I haven't quite decided whether I'm regretful or relieved that I missed out on THAT one as a child. 😂

I am interested in this book. I’ve seen a few people really enjoy it now. It’s already on my TBR, but I might have to bump it up!

I hope you'll give it a shot. I'd love to hear what you think.

@ it sounds like a nice change of pace! I think I will at some point.

I think what sounds most appealing is a fantasy novel that's less than 300 pages. There are so many modern fantasy novels that could have easily been trimmed down. Also, I don't know if I have a favorite fairy tale, but I do like Grimm's Little Red Riding Hood. I remember it being much darker than I expected so it was a fun surprise. - Todd

Yeah, I'm finding that I'm enjoying books shorter than 1200 pages long! LOL I can make videos more frequently. ;)

Demon possessed chicken?!?!? You mean a, GASP, poultrygeist?!?!? (I'll put myself in timeout)
@TedReadInstead5 күн бұрын
Ok, I'm just mad I hadn't thought of that first! Although, technically, that would be a ghost chicken, yes? ;) Or a chicken ghost? Hmmm......
@BryanM.R.-prionic112 күн бұрын
Hmm, I'm suddenly in the mood for a chicken leg-ion, for we are many. Ew, that was terrible, even by my standards. 😔 Sounds like a lot of fun. I often enjoy these kinds of fairy tale retellings. Favorite fairy tale? I recall being quite taken with Hansel and Gretel as a kid. To be truthful, I probably liked it because it's so dang messed up. It's actually a pretty sick story to be telling young children when you think about it. 😂 Have a good one!

ROFL! Bryan, I dig your sense of humor. You should be rewarded with some.....(drum roll) DEVILED EGGS?! If you get a chance, watch the movie Hansel & Gretel with Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye). It's a fun watch!
