With prices starting at $15,655 and going all the way up to over $21,000, the Versa isn't as affordable as it used to be. But are the upgrades worth the extra money? It depends on your perspective. I watched this video before i purchased this vehicle!! Great review that assisted me in my decision. The one thing i would like to comment on(not a complaint.. just some knowledge). The one thing people need to realize about CVT transmissions is that you can not smash the gas pedal if u just accelerate normally it gets better acceleration than if u would smash it). Great review!

A friends 4 yr old VW Jetta with only 40k miles had to fork over 3500 for dual clutch issues last month and 860 this month for a emmision valve. So helping her shop for the VW money pit replacement at a value price. These types of reviews help, as not everyone is in the situation or need for sports cars and 50k SUV's and trucks. When I leased my Rogue in 2009, I remember the Versa was stupid cheap around $10-$11k... I couldn't understand how they could do that. I guess the price went up

Where I live nissan still sells the last gen versa at around $10k, mostly for fleet and taxi usage. This new Versa is sold as small Sentra, with prices starting at 13k

40 Years AGO at age 18 standing on the New Car Dealer Showroom Floor looking at Cars that Exceeded $23,000.00 that didn’t have many of these Features in this Versa. I am speaking of the 1980 Mark V Lincolns. That were downsized and looked much better in the brochures than in the flesh. 4 decades with inflation that would be a $70K lincoln now and this Versa would of sold under $6K in 1980 money. Which would of been very reasonable seeing the first Escorts in 1981 sold at $6K and up. There’s a ton of Value compared to a Ford Escort of the ‘80’s compared to a fully equiped Versa. Nevermind power windows, A/C. Cruise. All the Safety Tech and Bluetooth Tech and cameras and airblags and speace in todays sub compacts. Just the ride and Horse power and quiet cabin. And if you loved AM radio the Escort had you hooked up. We’re spoiled today and don’t know it. :)

These new Nissan designs look the same. I would get sharing designing cues because that's normal but literally the only difference in looks is XS, S, M and L. XS - Versa S - Sentra M - Altima L - Maxima

I like the way Nissan is heading now and I'm looking into getting back in one. Since the SR is the sport trim for all the Nissan models, you think they would offer a manual transmission for the SR Trim.

I'm guessing the new Versa is the same size as my old 2002 Nissan Sentra GXE. I loved my Sentra, but there aren't many Nissans that I'd buy now.

I like the looks and my only brand new car was a little car like that I bought in the 1990’s. Would buy one if it was a dealer special, but too many 2-5 year old much nicer used cars near that price. It looks sharp though, can’t wait for a Sentra review.

Personally I prefer tougher leathe in cars, tends to hold up better and it softens up after a bit after use. Those pointing to Nissan CVT lawsuit yeah they have one for earlier models, 2017+ years are not included. Need to judge the product as is not what came before. Besides you all make it sounds like lawsuits against automakers don't happen all the time..

I do not see a sunroof so am assuming as yours is a top trim versa, one is not available. Hmmm, imo, even in this class, esp seeing as this b class attracts youth or first time buyers, a sun roof and really good stereo should be , at least, an option. Imo, big mistake on nissan’s part

I agree. The accent has a sunroof but toyota’ s corolla hatch, a little larger, does not. Companies complain people are not buying small cars and everyone is buying cuvs and such, but when was the last time the ad saturation was the same for s,all cars as cuvs and suvs? If car makers want to sell cars then start catering to those who buy them. Also, the size creep is crazy. My old 91 tracer sedan, based on mazda protoge had more interior room than this yet was shorter at only 174 or so inches, same for the newest sentra...182 inches long but no more interior room than an almost thirty year old tracer. It is any wonder folks are buying cuvs?

This is a nice car for a new driver specially for my son. Not that expensive but complete features what more can i find. Im driving a altima sv 2019 i love the ride very comfortable not like accord 2019 i have that before i sold it after 2 months of using it. Driver seat is bad. Hurt my butt and legs... not comfy to drive... sorry honda you have to upgrade you captain seat...

You hit the nail on the head Matt when you said that you can get a few years old car (think 2016 Avalon XLE with 40K miles) for $18,500 or so that absolutely stomps on this new car and has reliability to boot.

It's so cheap and would fit right into the hands of lower "working class" folks. Nissan USA wants to continue making a killing selling the higher priced models so they won't even offer what would easily debut as the "cheapest brand new car in the U.S. that money can buy". The Micra would fill that gap easily but Nissan is intentionally blocking the Micra from crossing the border . . . FUCK YOU NISSAN!!!
