Ian! I actually know for a fact that these skins were going to be in the shop! Because day 1 the shop was majorly bugged. After I purchased the cardboard mega bundle it disappeared from the shop and the Norse mega bundle took its place. I was able to purchase the Norse mythology mega bundle and when I purchased that the widow cas mega bundle showed up in the shop I didn't purchase it cause I dont play cass and widow but it was on my page. The very next day my shop was supper bugged the widow cass skins disappeared from my shop and every time I tried to scroll down it would force me to the bottom. And I know others had the same issue. Blizzard refused to talk about it and no content creator has talked about the shop bug. But I was there I saw it and I am using Loki Sombra as my forever skin right now.

Venture was supposed to get their legendary skin last season but it got pushed to this season. Probably wanted ATLA to come out after Rivals. Plus it coincided with 6v6 to pull in old players/people enjoying 6v6 in Rivals

​@@nurikkulanbaev3628Marvel rivals are giving away free skins, made the battle pass 5 dollars, have 0 loot boxes or predatory monetization practices such as: Locking heroes behind a harsh grind to unlock/payable currencies, loot boxes, impossible to unlock skins without paying money for a specific currency and temporary battle passes which forces people to grind and play a specific game to unlock each tier. How is this not "caring" about the fan base? They're literally losing money for not being predatory (similar to Apex, Call of duty, Overwatch, Dead by daylight, Valorant etc) These games basically force you to pay money for the bare minimum. Literally half the game is LOCKED behind a fake grind to "unlock" characters. Marval rivals threw that ideology out and decided to give the people what they want. A game. No grind necessary! That's sick!

This video made me realize that I had fallen out of love with overwatch. It really feels like a toxic relationship where im being treated terribly but stick around because of familiarity and the bare minimum amount of attention. Marvel rivals though is so different. It’s got familiar characters so it isn’t completely foreign to me, it’s got skins you can actually see that they know they’re fan base would love, it’s got easy to learn heroes with high skill ceilings so it’s fun to play at all skill levels, a battlepass system that allows you to come back and complete them even after a season ends, and they have amazing potential (one that I don’t see in overwatch anymore). I do hope this lights a fire under overwatch so they start actually listening to the community and GENUINELY improving the game, sticking to promises. But as of right now, I have been let down far too many times by overwatch since really the release of echo. That was almost five years ago, and still i waited for them to do better. But after content droughts, pre selling a PvE mode that never got released, releasing a watered down (one time only apparently) PvE event that was similar to other PvE events in the past yet charging for it, blizzard scandals, and frankly just being bored of the same thing over and over, I think it’s time for me to be done with overwatch. At least until they can find some way to make the game better, but I doubt it, ive gotten my hopes up too many time for that game

I can say that so far, 6v6 has definitely been more fun than 5v5, straight up. My problem is I'm tired of waiting, it feels like everything with OW moves in slow motion, promises made seasons before they will be realized. 6v6 is being treated as an "experimental" LTM, which means it has an end date, then what? How long after the test run until we just get 6v6 back for good? I think Blizzard underestimated Rivals upon its launch, and only months before its release did they finally start budging on the 6v6 conundrum. Thing is Rivals is already here and it's kicking ass, quite frankly Blizzard need to drop 5v5 and commit to 6v6, the quicker the better. OW's identity crisis is at an all time high, is it a purely competitive game or casual, is it 5v5 or 6v6? For me I'm done settling for something I feel could and SHOULD be so much more fun, Marvel Rivals currently knows what kind of game it is and until OW figures out what it is, I just don't see much point in playing it anymore.

I did get the Widowmaker skin in the winter fair in 2023 only bc that I didn't get her a skin and thought it would be great to sacrifice my f2p coins I worked for it. Now you think about it, they should of let me have all of the skins since I wasted fairly 400-500 premium coins for crappy name cards, icons, and only one legendary skin with a Cassidy intro, bc if I wanted to, I could've grabbed a bp with half that coins and get more out of it, and that's sad. Edit:to also add, they were releasing formal outfits for bap, tracer, mercy, etc. (surprisingly no kiriko in it at that time)

Improvements to OW make me happy, but I'm not suffering through 9 OW matches for 3 free skins for characters I don't play. I'm sticking to Rivals, where I'm actually having fun, for now. I've already spent more in Rivals than I ever have in OW2 because it was actually worth the price. I do hope OW becomes a good game again and I'll be happy to play again when it is. I think Blizzard in general is shook. At the same time as Marvel Rivals growing super fast and pulling away plenty of players and streamers from OW2, PoE2 has drop kicked Diablo IV directly on its head. Those Steam player counts are GRIM. And, yes, I know that most players do not play Blizzard games on Steam, but it is naive to think that similar percentage drops are not being experienced on the other platforms, too.

this guy hella glazing the skins in the winter wonderland were asswater, the best ones are in bundles you have to pay 44$+ dollars for, the battlepass was trash with only 2 ok skins with tier 70 clearly set up for the mauga skin that they changed last second to that plain cassidy skin, the avatar bundle has some of the worst pricing to come out 57$ with 3 of the skins being so basic it hurts and all that topped off by yet another use rereleasing old overwatch 1 skins at sky high prices if this is there panic mod they just went from lvl 10 greed to lvl 9 lets not praise a horse who can run when most can.

Having been a fan of Overwatch 1, it’s disappointing to see how the game has changed. Playing Overwatch 2 feels like being in a toxic relationship-promised happiness and excitement, only to be let down and hurt. It’s as if they expect gratitude despite the frustration they cause. oh this is without a doubt them responding to marvel rivals and how they are allowing players to earn character's skins and stuff like that from playing. if blizzard really cared about their player base, they would give us the option to use our overly stocked ow1 credits on older shop skins like the cyberpunk hanzo and widowmaker. but, they don't really care about the player base or what we really want. so, yeah. ... this is them in panic mode and i love it. maybe it will make them wise up and start going back to this every new event or new season.
