I genuinely don't see the issue here. Maybe I was lucky to ignore every hint and leak up until Hazard's reveal, but even if the phreaks are another cyberpunk faction, they are a different flavor. Sombra and the Los moertos are the netrunners, cyberpunk equivalent to the voodoo boys. The freaks would be a mercenary street kid gang, think edgerunners. Hazard would be clearly a solo, given that he is ex-military. I take it as a win still.

Spiritmancer will be releasing when the new tank arrives. I'd rather play Spiritmancer, honestly. He just doesn't look all that interesting from that trailer alone. It was a prettt bad reveal compared to many past heroes.

I wish Hazard felt a bit more Punk. I feel like he’s supposed to be that type of character but Ekko certainly has him beat imo. His design on its own isn’t bad, but he just doesn’t really feel like the fight against the system/rocker type. I think they could have played up those design aspects a bit better. His design isn’t bad tho. I like that we got another big boy. And he’s definitely cute. His model feels weird tho. Especially in comparison to how he looks in the short. Because in game his head looks way smaller which kinda throws off his proportions imo.

From a character design perspective, I was disappointed to see someone so traditionally buff and attractive as their representation of their "punk" faction The Phreaks. Other than a couple of piercings (the nose spikes for example) he's fairly clean cut looking... which I guess fits into his ex military backstory, but eh why have that backstory? Punks are not well known for being ex military. They tend to oppose the fascism that militaries uphold. They are known for rejecting society as it is, embracing self expression, and when you think of them fighting you think of scrappy street fighters who are more likely to throw a bottle or swing a skateboard, than be ex military. Overwatch already has an abundance of military and ex military heroes, so this design feels seriously lazy, especially when there was another way they could have gone RIGHT THERE. Want to see punk done right in a character design? Look at Spider-Punk in the Across the Spider-Verse movie.

The fact he has a unique design for his arm blade solidifies that it will be an ability, not just a generic attack for the trailer.
