That "gameboost" feature for PS4 games is such a scam. People have been demonstrating PS4 games running at 60fps on jailbroken PS5s flawlessly for quite a while, despite them not officially being patched to do so. The power is already there. They could easily allow it to happen on the base model, but they dont. It's just like locking system level deadzone settings behind the $200 Dualsense Edge. The tactic is that rather than selling consumers on features that are only possible on newer hardware, they arbitrarily lock those features behind a paywall. There is no technical reason they couldn't be done on across their lineup. This is just a sleazy, lazy way to artificially increasing the perceived value of the Pro. "Gameboost" is just sucker speak for "if you give us an extra $250, you won't get a console that we've intentionally gimped. You're welcome."

It don't play all PS4 games. You will have to download a PS5 PRO version with higher frame rate. Redownloading your 2tb game collection will cost thousands in internet data.
