As one travels in the world one hears so many dialects of all languages, all beautiful. I love hearing Jews in Brooklyn, in Israel, and from all over the world. Each nusach and dialect expresses such a wide range of cultures and mind sets, all of value and worthy of respect!

Great response regarding as to "what" you personally identify as. This is a sign of the new age of "orthodoxy" in which we are blessed to live... Embrace what unites us---not what divides us. It takes 12 different tribes... Yet, individual Jews (not "groups") that love each other and that love Hashem and Torah Truth!

I agree, I feel the same way even though I'm a convert and starting with a Askenaz nusach, I feel the Taimini pronounciation is the correct one, All these letters must have a distinct sound especially when we are talking about Lashon Ha Kodesh where every single detail has a unique distinction and purpose, I want to learn this way, Pronoucing well the Ayin, Jimel, Gimel, Chaf, Kheth, Tav, Thav, Dalet, Dhalet.
@ezraorlofsky78094 жыл бұрын
Jimel is debatable the dagesh should not change the letter to the extent that it becomes associated with a new group of letters. i.e. gimel is associated with the soft palate letters (g, y, kh, q). Jimel isnt. also saadia gaon specifically excluded jimel from the hebrew alphabet noting it as a letter found in arabic and not in hebrew (there are three such letters).

I love Rabbi bar Chaim's straight, logical approach to yahadut. My parents are Ashkenaz, but I simply call myself a Jew. My brother in law is Syrian and his shul is mostly Egyptians and Morroccans. Their davening is superior to my Ashkenaz tefilot.

wow nice to see another ashkenazi who changed the ayin and 'hes pronounciation. my rabbi told me that i could change as that strictly speaking even ashkenazim should pronounce the ayin and 'hes nice the sefardi/temoni. i would argue with the rabbi 7:30 that the iraqi pronounciation and some yemenite pronounciation seem to be consistent with the theory of how hebrew should be pronounced.

Thank you for your explination on how to find the truth. Every year we read the same Haftorah where Eliahu goes to Har Carmel and rebukes the children of Israel to stop wavering between two beliefs, either follow God or follow Baal. In this current time is Baal international laws as defined by the nations of the world (humanitarian aid to the enemy) or follow the Torah laws on how to fight the enemy? What is your perception on this issue?
@samuelbenitez21375 жыл бұрын
my DNA shows that my family is from all three and i am very proud of the unifitcation of them, to be one as hashem is one, i love all jews as my people, my family.

Really appreciate your insight Rabbi Bar-Hayim but from my understanding historically many if not most Ashkenazi Jews were Sephardic at one point or another in History. We got separated because of disagreements in our communities in Spain, persecutions, amongst other reasons. I've met a few Russian Jews who have told me the same thing they are Sephardic...

A Jew is a Jew is a Jew … to get hung up on geographic ethnicity is an absurd distraction We are all children of Jacob ;) A dysfunctional family more often than not, but family nonetheless

Problems are chumras! How may hours rabbi waits until he eats dairy? This is local minhag. I love what rabbi said. I don't feel part of particular community. I am hooked on HaShem. But I am afraid that I will be arrogant if I don't follow community.

While I do not dispute the general thrust of this video, the number of people in one or other forms of slavery has never been greater. In 2016 the estimated number of people in modern slavery was 45.8 million. www.globalslaveryindex.org/findings/

What a funny video, it doesn’t matter if the rabbi was a green alien from mars, what matters is that he is a sevent if HaShem and observes Torah and the mitzvot
