Did they adjust the speed of the RGB functions? One complaint is that all of the transition animations were too fast even if you tried slowing them down. I do not like quick flashing light but i would like something where it does a 'breathe' animation cycle through different colors for a twitch notification.

I believe so. We had a bit of adjustability with it and got the fading moving slow enough to not be uncomfortable if it was too fast
