My grandpa was a logger, a farmer and a hardworking man in Finland. Taking care of their farm and family with my grandma and that's where they lived most of their lives. They raised their food at the farm and got the rest of it from the forest. Lots, of meat, fish, butter, dairy, potatoes, berries, mushrooms etc. Neither one of them never smoke cigarettes or drank a lot of alcohol. As long as i remember he was always in shape and strong. Never got too bulky he was always lean. He lived long healthy life till he passed away last year in the age of 94. My grandma is still alive she's 88 years old.

Funny you should mention Finland. They had the highest incidence of heart disease in the world before a doctor who was interested in nutrition started a campaign to wean the folk off dairy and cholesterol and on to berries. It was a big success and their rate of heart disease dropped to the same level as Italy's. That bloke was subsequently elected President of Finland.

thats a good point bc like vegans claim if you dont feel well on a plant based diet your gut health is in question wich should be fixed in the first place. according to them we ALL thrive on a plant based diet without exceptions. I dont think thats true especially when we think about milk and how different tribes in the world can handle the digestion of it. I started eating eggs and gained 15lbs back in a week. Diet is user dependent, not 1 person is the same when it comes to anything. Why does winstrol give me gyno??. I'm not going to attack their credentials like some of the commentators, or the fact that they use steroids, that's not as important, lets look at the question of whether or not dietary cholesterol impacts blood cholesterol. So blood cholesterol is important because it indicates the likelihood of having a cardiac event (heart attack, stroke etc.) A lot of studies that show that dietary cholesterol has minimal impact on blood cholesterol are funded by industry. They use tricks to manipulate the results. The way dietary cholesterol impacts blood cholesterol is simple. If you take someone who consumes very little dietary cholesterol and add dietary cholesterol, their blood cholesterol will be significantly impacted. If you take someone who already consumes a decent amount of dietary cholesterol and add more to it, it will have a much smaller impact. The biggest impact is in the initial amount added to diet, the impact gets less and less, the more you add. If you take someone who eats a massive amount of cholesterol and add more, it will have little to no impact, because the standard american diet has a very high starting point in regards to how much cholesterol we consume, which is why these studies often show a minimal increase in blood cholesterol after adding more to the diet. In order to do a proper study, you need to control for how much cholesterol they consumed daily leading up to the start of the study, taking an average population that consumes lots of cholesterol is insufficient and findings from those results should be ignored. Here is a meta-analysis done on this topic: citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=10.1.1.549.6029&rep=rep1&type=pdf A brief summary at the end of it: "Serum cholesterol concentration is clearly increased by added dietary cholesterol but the magnitude of predicted change is modulated by baseline dietary cholesterol. The greatest response is expected when baseline dietary cholesterol is near zero, while little, if any, measurable change would be expected once baseline dietary cholesterol was > 400-500 mg/d. People desiring maximal reduction of serum cholesterol by dietary means may have to reduce their dietary cholesterol to minimal levels (< 100-150 mg/d) to observe modest serum cholesterol reductions while persons eating a diet relatively rich in cholesterol would be expected to experience little change in serum cholesterol after adding even large amounts of cholesterol to their diet."

Diet means almost nothing pending the genetics, activity level, and enviroment. The Amish have some of the lowest rates of heart disease and cardiac events, diabetes, lowest rates of obesity as a sub group, extremely low cancer rates, and same average life span without the use of modern medical technology. Why? They move twice (almost 3x) as a much as the average American. Yet they eat red meats, bacon/pork, eggs, milk, fatty foods like gravy, butter, etc. They also have little stress and no technology. They eat only natural whole food they produce or kill. Of course genetics plays a part as well. See the difference? Diet is only one aspect. As said, correlation doesn't equal causation. The qualitative analysis of all these studies are so poor it's almost hysterical. Background knowledge on all the other multiple planes of factors is much more important than just food. Nutrition is the most simple, yet made the most complex by people. Science only tells you so much. Science cannot deny what is. It can only offer an explanation, which for nutrition, is still murky.

You can't dismiss population studies just because it is harder to identify the causing factors. First of all, the reason no clinical trials are performed to test cancer-causing food is that it is unethical to do so. Second, some population studies are very well set up so that confounding factors are hugely reduced and easy to identify. If many high-quality population studies point to meat as a causing factor (as they do) then if you are a logical reasoning person, you should really consider that there is something to it instead of rambling "correlation does not equal causation."

Main issues with red meat -> Iron overload [ esp in males, Iron is toxic to mammalian cells ] , the high heat used to cook meats causes Nitrosamines which are cancer causing.

Why not speak to a cardiologist... Wtf does a kinesiologist know about anything.

Most Cardiologists will not speak openly about it because of controlled practices. My doc is keto and she said she feels amazing lost tons of weight and has loads of energy and she can't speak openly to here colleagues about it.

I don’t know if you’re trolling or being a complete fucking moron. Considering the fact that a kinesiologist studies the movement of the body. Bioenergetics, exercise physiology, nutrition absorption and partition. He could of done his dissertation on the effects of protein in the human body or whatever he did it in. I don’t know. But he clearly... knows more than you.

This is such an extreme act of mental gymnastics that Stan should go to the Olympics. "Red meat doesn't cause cancer, but if you get cancer, red meat might accelerate it." Well, no shit. Cell mutations cause cancer. What exactly causes those mutations is not always known. But it's precisely certain biochemical environments that might lead to the promotion or suppression of those cancer cells causing them to be an issue or not. Stan is caught in a bit of extreme cognitive dissonance here where he recognises red meat can accelerate tumor growth, but he's hanging on to the irrelevant fact that the meat itself probably doesn't spark the initial mutations that produce the first cancer cells.

grilled meat with brown/black spots is definitely not healthy and is carcinogenic. I always only boil or steam meat...

great point - meat isn't inherently carcinogenic, but preparing it over open flame will cause it to be confounded that way only steam or stew your meat

Same with the egg yolks btw. Egg yolk should be eaten basically raw. So I always soft boil eggs where egg whites are cooked, but egg yolks liquid. Otherwise the cholesterol in the egg yolk gets oxidized and you really don't want to consume oxidized cholesterol... like eggs in some cake recipe or just soft boiled egg. Both are eggs, but completely different impact on the body..
@jirihutecka90206 жыл бұрын
also ok if you don't flip the eggs on the yolks. Just leave the yolk intact. It is far more tastier than scrambled eggs anyway..

look a two doctors discussing nutrition while some one is grinding an axe in the background
Jcream101 most doctors don’t know anything about nutrition and don’t keep up to date with the most recent studies either. Best way is to educate yourself on the science, statistics, and read papers and meta studies. Takes years of investment and education but it’s really the only reliable thing.

@@AdarshRajCR7 These guys are in the health business for money! They dont care about health. They are deceiving people and in turn end up deceiving themselves. By hurting others with lying information, they hurt themselves. Anyone with common sense knows by eating death in the form of dead animals adds death to your own body. Cant eat death without dying. Fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds have living enzymes within themselves and will add life to oneself.

lol if you are that big, you are going to breathe heavier. Go watch any of his Rhino Rhants and listen to him speak for a good 15 to 20 minutes in a perfect cadence, without gasping or taking breaks, stalling with umms, etc. He literally gets compliments almost every rant from how he speaks. And he's never told people not to do cardio...lmao good grief. Athletes don't do that steady state multi hour bs that skinny fat people love to do. They do higher intensity training in short spurts that actually increase VO2 max at a better rate than steady aerobics. You're probably the type of person that sees someone doing 50m farmer walks and would never think it's cardio.
