Danke, genau das was du bemängelst bemängle ich auch seit einem Jahr. Autos fühlen sich an als würde man schwimmen, man ein Delay zwischen dem was du selbst am Lenkrad machst und was auf dem Bildschirm passiert und das FFB fühlt sich einfach leblos und undetailliert an. Man weiß praktisch nie was gerade passiert. Der Sound ist auch kein Stück besser geworden. Klingt alles so künstlich und auch beim Sound hat man ein Delay. Das sich da auch so gar nichts in 12 Monaten getan hat ist für mich ein großes Alarmsignal. Dabei schmeißen die Verantwortlichen auch noch die ganze Zeit mit Versprechungen umsich. Ich habs gestern bei Mabix schon gesagt, wenn die Entwickler weiterhin so lahmarschig sind dann sehen wir ein spielbares Produkt erst 2050-80. Von den Preisen und was man dafür bekommt brauchen wir glaube ich nicht anfangen. Das eine Frechheit zu nennen ist noch harmlos ausgedrückt.

They have great app which allowed you to register for a race without to be in front of the monitor… 😮 Ui is really fast. I mean there are few stuff that works really good… also the possibility to change „sensitivity“ of forcefeedback per car when you in that car BUT the most important features that a sim should have are not really impressive which makes rennsport at the moment nothing special. idk…

In the beginning, this "game" wasn't mean't to be a game. It was meant to be a "NFT service" for simracing. (Example the driver + the car + the livery + the setup = 1 NFT) Then, in the span of a couple of months, everyone started to hate NFTs. So they had to pivot. And then they bought the Engine, hired devs, and tried to do something. They had the money for ESL, and that what they produced. Now, a year later we are here. As Simracers, we all want to have another sim. But currently it's looking grim. Even ACE looks like a big flop, at least at the start. We all hope for the best...

Thanks for the honest review! Other streamers/influencers tend to be more diplomatic when I think you should just straight up tell your opinion. My opinion: This is a joke! With LMU we got an early access with much more content and a better overall experience. With ACC we have a mature Sim and if you purchase it via key portals, all its content will cost less than 70€. How can they think that they can sell some virtual glory (batches) and neon liveries for such amount of money?! I would be surprised if that would become a successful approach.

It's very all over the place. They want the modding scene and content diversity of AC with the online system of iRacing, the physics, graphics and esports pedigree of ACC with the monetisation model of Raceroom (+NFTs?). Doing all that in one game is very hard to pull off and I think chances of a success are pretty slim especially with AC Evo around the corner.

Exactly, nothing. Physics ok but not great. GFX ok but not great. FFB ok but not great. Sound ok but not great. You need to either excel at one thing or make an attractive package of a number of ok things. They do neither. I don't see the point.

Well it offers free jump in and play built in ranked racing, no 3rd party server support like LFM. It's actually the only modern sim that offers this. Pretty good really

I watched this video when you published it but only now I realized what you said about the tyre temps, and it really does feel like they're using the insane tyre temp sensitivity to hide an unfinished/broken slip curve. They made the tyres less "icy" on 1.10.0, so what happened at 20:29 where the car can't go straight after a slide is now somewhat gone, but the tyres will still reach insane temps mid corner if you're driving the car to its full potential. Rennsport is essentially a tyre temp manager, underdrive the parts of the track with less important corners so the tyres stay cold so you can overdrive the parts of the track with the more important corners so tyre temps don't have time to catch up to the sliding. I'd love to be able to freeze the tyre temp to the ideal range and see how this game would drive, you could probably drive this like GRID 1. I don't mind how this game drives, I like games that let you push like this, take Raceroom, rF2, LFS, and a few others. Having a wider slip range is fun and has the added benefit of being more accessible to people, but Rennsport takes it too far. It a bit too close to AMS2's silly drifting and that just isn't as fun. Not saying that this type of driving is realistic, but it's fun and other games have done it well. I hope Rennsport can get there, I hope we can one day feel the tyres lose grip because of the slip curve, not because of temperature.

This screams "We need to get this out before AC Evo!" vibes. Releasing on exclusive on Epic is always shady, imo. It's a great way for them to skirt around having community feedback easily available. Mad respect for you not buying Nords just to show it off. The best way to stop these practices is to not give them the time of day.

You are 100% correct, I'll stick to rFactor 2 and LMU ... Race Room is even better than this. The cars felt like the suspension was made from marshmellows and the steering was connected to a rubber band.

In terms of marketing Rennsport has done all things right the last 1,5 years. Big show with e-Sport drivers and marketing promises created a good picture. People where begging like kids to get an Beta key. Reality will bring them on the ground. There is a point in the near future where they have to deliver or they will disappear into no man's land. only paying customers will decide if they will earn money or not, independant from the price model they will choose. So lets sit back down relaxed and and wait. We have already 5 great sims for racing on the market and they have to trigger us with results, not with marketing blabla..

Not even so sure about their great marketing. Personally their marketing has totally turned me off. Been a sim racer for decades, have probably played 95% of all PC (and some console) racing titles over that time and at no point has Rennsport sparked even the tiniest interest in me. To me they feel like the crypto bros of sim racing.

I have triple so I'm in lo luck. Also Projection correction lowers resolutions so much is barely usable. Did anyone find how to tilt the cockpit camera? I'm unable to adjust the cockpit. Thanks.

I think we've got a serious problem in terms of the willingness to spend money on software in the sim racing community. We all crave for great simulations and content, but no one wants to pay for it. We (or at least not very few of us) spend thousands of €/$/... on hardware to get these simulations running fine with nice input gear. But then people are moaning about 10€ for some nice additional content. It's so difficult to resemble laser scanned tracks, detailed cars (in optics and physics), and a spot on physics engine itself. This way it's very difficult to get a studio motivated to create the perfect simulation for us. And on the other side, I see people putting hundreds of Euros into cheap smartphone games. For me it's completely ok to give those guys 20€, hoping they are able to continue with some great work.

fair point (spending on game vs. spending on hardware) - perhaps the amount of people actually buying tier 1 or 2 hardware is much smaller than we think. so people on budget hardware more rightfully complain about game prices. on the other hand licensing an older engine, not making your own new physics, and then coming up with gimmicks to pay is meh. over time, apart from licenses, technology to make high resolution scans becomes cheaper, not more expensive. thats why we kinda have abundance of all these tracks.

I don't think that's true. If anything, simracers spend a lot, iRacing is expensive and people pay it, they also pay for setups, RaceLab and so on.

@@SimracingPopometer I do agree to an extent, they are "smart enough" here though. It is called "Founder's Pack", which is not an uncommon practice for F2P games still in development, it is similar to setting up a Patreon for supporting the development. Having said that though the offering is clearly lacking, and should really not including anything like a track, this is usually the kind of packs where at max tier you should get all content up to release. On the other hand, having paid DLC into an early access title that you already have to pay is clearly scammy, which is the approach LMU have taken.

​@@SimracingPopometer I also didn't take it as a DLC, because only one track is used as founder's pack. I think it's just a bonus for their Patreons to have some benefits. Same as they are adding your name on billboard in game and on a Nordschleife track :). I have already bought the diamond one as I am little bit cheeky to get my name on a track and furthermore I wish they would be successful. ACC is really inconsistent in the car behavior from update to update and I wish that this will be fixed by RS, but there is so much work to be done...

Here’s the issue with Rennsport, if you have played ACC, AC or Iracing… this doesn’t match up. The sounds of the cars sound unfinished or missing more sounds to them;the physics are all over the place, it’s hard to get comfortable and trade the other sims for this atm. The graphics look blurry and not as crisp as ACC or AC can look atm. And idk the tracks just feel decent, in some parts they feel better but then in others weak or missing detail. The ffb is pretty solid and feels good, I like the detail and what they done. But it didn’t blow me away, you can’t put out commercial and ads claiming to take over the scene and then put out this mediocre sim. It just feels unfinished and still needs a lot of work before it can match up with the others. Finally, don’t like the epic installation and path to have to install this game. That doesn’t feel legit or “official” steam is where the market is at for the top Sims and platforms. Marketing wise they are killing the game, but the game atm isn’t delivering what they claim it to be…

Physics/driving is very close to rF2. When I drive AC for long, I find rF2 very weird and vice versa. All have their issues. rF2 is a bit too floaty especially at low speeds/aero. AC is a bit too linear and lacking some nuances. ACC is a bit wooden in the front, no matter the setup.

the pricing...uff.. i got the point somehow, its like support the development, but overall its too less you get here. other games do this much better. for example given: automobilista 2 got the paddock club: US$ 169.99 for existing users that already own AMS2 Base Game. US$ 99.99 for existing users that already own AMS2 Base Game & All DLCs. - so then you get all future DLCs for free.. thats something i understand, its a reward and a big thank you for supporting the early development. apart from ams2 already got a working game and you are involved in the beta development, reiza is listening to the community etc

I was already disillusioned with rennsport. The feeling that I'm driving the real car was not there. It seemed to me like I'm floating above the track, that tires are not touching the asphalt. So, I'm already predisposed to not like it. And I rather watched 40min than try it myself. Lazy of me, I know. Thanks for this "report."

I tried the open beta. I only play in VR and there was this constant light flashing in to my eyes from the drivers seat which made it unplayable for me. Ended up uninstalling. Will try full release again later

1st off I can't do any mechanical adjustments, so right there it sucks, glad its free for now. The ffb and steering was way to late and sloppy or nothing at all, maybe due to my fault, but none of my other games exhibit these problems. I mean with LMU, it was great out of the box for a beta, this is no where near that. Also worth the price, just glad they didn't make you pay to use it. I'd love to see the demographics of anyone that actually paid any money for this. listening to him about the tuning that can't be tuned out to make the game playable, complete garbage. that's it.

I don't want to defend their business decisions, but this founder's pack is not so much about the content you're getting. It's more about "supporting the development" and getting some extra stuff while you're at it. Still, just like LMU getting a season pass anytime now for the 2024 season cars, it's not a good look when the game is not in a finished state and they're already paywalling stuff. Also, I'm surprised they're still going with this eVIN thing and trying to make it special, but to be fair it seems to be like how Forza has car history and you can see how many wins and races a car has but that also raises the question of being able to sell cars for money later...

Something new needs to happen in sim racing. Everything that has come out recently is disappointing. WRC was broken rennsport is barely functional and LMU is half a game. I dont see the point of a gt3 game that has less than half of the gt3 grid to pick from. Can we get one game with every car at least? I only played rennsport for about 20 minutes because there was nothing there that isn't in another sim already. Not to mention the fact that the psychics seem half completed

I enjoy driving Rennsport more than iRacing but my biggest issues are performance and triple support. Rennsport would kill on console mainly playstation, I think people would like another option besides Gran Turismo

i must say, the multiplayer system is one of the big pros which nobody realy tells right now. There are much official servers in a nice variation and a bias rating system bringing you on the servers with the right persons. That is what much people wished before and is even better the LFM because its ingame. Yet the fact its not even ready makes it very promising. Driving isnt bad either. Youll get a better racing driver in any game you play. They all teach you to get the apex and watch your tires, like in reality ;)

the MP part is valid in general. but like every game it needs a critical mass to play. and when i checked the sessions earlier, the only filled ones were yet again GT3s... we really live in some era. you won't get masses from iracing/acc coming over to drive GT3 once more. i can only see an even more fractured sim community

The main issue IMO is the physics, which has been mostly the same since day 1 so I believe it's a design choice and not something that will be changed in the future. Why they chose to make some of the cars feel like a boat I have no idea

OK, let's call it a rubbish beta then :D LMU is also a beta, and it also has its issues. Plenty of unfinished stuff in there. and plenty of stuff to drive you up the wall. But also plenty of awesome. Rennsport, so far, has plenty to drive you up the wall but no awesome. So at this moment I think it's rubbish. And it's also pointless. BUT, I am happy to revise this opinion once they bring the awesome. But until they do, no point beating around the bush. It is what it is: rubbish :P
