Huh, I did not know that. Here in Rwanda, the Brits celebrate Bonfire Night on 5th November each year. We toast marshmallows over the fire. Sometimes people bring an American (as a friend, not for the bonfire). I always thought Americans called marshmallows a 'smore' (as in 'I want s'more')? I didn't realise it was an actual construction of chocolate and crackers. Thank you for explaining. Will have to try this in November.

That is the way to me, it helps cut the sweetness from overbearing to actually edible due to the caramelization of the part in-between the center and exterior, while the smokey from the outer layer is just perfect.

I picked up a cup of these a while ago on clearance for like $0.25 USD, just for the gigs and still haven't tried them. After this I'm pretty confident in my guess that they threw a hot chocolate packet into an instant ramen cup and called it a day.

At least part of the reason it boiled over was because the lid was still on. It says remove lid and also microwave uncovered. The lid still being on didn't allow the steam to escape as easily so the heat built up more 🤷‍♂️ its possible it still would've happened but possibly not

@ the stores donate all kinds of items that they have too much of including frozen meat, produce, dairy, snacks, etc and the boxes from the food bank have lots of ingredients to make actual meals and then snacks and drinks and bakery items and random things like this are included, too! so don’t worry, people get much more than just weird stuff no one likes

Emmy, try a graham cracker sandwich with half a chocolate bar filling. It's delightful and perfectly acceptable, and you don't even have to heat it up to melt the chocolate. At least I never have. I just eat it cold. It's truly delightful with a cup of Darjeeling tea the English way with a spoonful of sugar and a little bit of milk.

Actually, thick water was invented so people don't gag or choke. Stroke victims sometimes can't drink regular water or any other runny liquids because they'll choke on them.

Hi Emmy,I like my marshmallows golden brown. When I make smores I put peanut butter or sunflower butter on the graham cracker then the chocolate and then a marshmallow and toast very briefly under the broiler in the oven or a few seconds in the microwave. I sometimes make a sandwich with toast and skip the graham cracker.

My friend and I got a few of these several months ago, but have been too nervous to try them. This video definitely helps! We ended up taking the marshmallows out, and then putting them back in two minutes after pouring in the hot water. The marshmallows weren't crunchy, but soft, and they were studded through the ramen. But I agree with your opinion on the taste. I'll definitely stick with beef, chicken, or shrimp.

When I was a kid, I liked the marshmallows light or golden. Then, when I tried them slightly burned with the oohy gooey insides, I found I loved it. That's why I love Creme Brulee now❣️😋😋😋

My initial thought was ramen s'more eww yuck no way but after thinking about it I realized that I love Sweet Lokshen Kugel.and I like rice pudding, bread pudding and I often make myself a chocolate burrito with chocolate and a flour tortilla when I'm craving a chocolate pastry but it's too late or not the proper time to actually bake. I'd try it it might be good.

I've never really liked smores either but recently discovered making them on a gas grill and think they're much tastier that way. Those noodles look nasty . You looked really excited about the breakfast ramen lol

I've learned from experience that a cup of water in a similar sized container will overflow after one minute of microwaving. If I want it hotter I can add a minute at a time. The instructions were faulty. Those three-minute instructions would have been fine if contents were heated in a saucepan on a stovetop. Your first instinct, Emmy, to add the cup of preheated water would likely have had a better result.

Oh no! Disappearing marshmallows? I definitely think taking them out and adding them after heating it would have worked, because they would have softened up enough when you stirred them in. And if they're a little bit crunchy in the middle I don't think it really matters.

I got these a few months ago from Walmart on the little clearance rack for $0.50! I was so excited to try them, I usually love weird foods like that. But they're not good at all! Their sweetness tastes very artificial, not like real sugar at all, completely like an artificial sweetener. And yes, all my marshmallows completely vanished as well. It actually tastes kind of chemically and just gross. 🤢
