In the end game, players need two teams with more elemental coverage, so people should pull or build one dps character for each element. Maybe she could be powercrept, but she still gets her job done on floors that require ice characters. I will probably only replace her when I have a large enough pool of characters to deal with those elemental restrictions, which could take more than one year of playing.

I honest to God hope they rework her and make her like an electric anomaly. The game literally just came out, and the power creep will be so infuriating if they make Miyabi just a better Ellen. I was super lucky to get her day 1 on my third pull and her W-Engine 2 days later, but I'd imagine that people who've spent literally 100s are gonna be pissed. But hey, that's a gacha for ya

@@dillansantiago707 I doubt she’ll be electric considering nothing about her moveset seems to be electric, they could either make her aether cause of the blue flame or sadly ice cause of the same reason. But if we’re going with colour matching she’ll definitely be ice.

I have to say it feels bad certain pieces aren't grouped together in HSR and to hear it's a little similar with this is a slightly irritating, but I'm not shy to constantly run something looking for gear/ disc drives in this case.

I think polar and puffer is good depends on how you play the game its just puffer is more focus on individual damage and polar set focus on burst damage. So if you are playing ellen more then puffer is good but if you play ellen base on rotation polar is good because it shares the passive once shatter or freeze is activated.

Polar Metal grossly outperforms Puffer electro... If you check her core passive you'll notice it also only affects her enhanced basic attacks with up to +100% crit damage. 20% ult damage and 8% pen is laughable vs 10% ice and 20% basic and dash damage up to + 40% which also get amplified by the 10% ice since they go from doing physical to 100% ice dmg. On ult you lose like 2500 dmg every 1k attack but 1 basic attack combo on Polar metal does 5 or 6 times that amount. I do have a question tho, does anyone know if weapons and bangboos are permanent or are they limited like the characters... I don't see anything in game covering those

The build I have is 2 piece puffer and 4 piece woodpecker so it would moreso be 8% crit vs ice damage. That being said, when you get to use your ultimate or when you get to make use of each passive (and how strong each set is) is dependent on so many factors including rotation speed, number of mobs, etc.

@@cannaaaa that was mb, I meant the 4 piece one. 10% ice and 20% basic and dash dmg do more than the pen and 9% attack. The 2 piece is personal preference imo, lots of options. Also she's invulnerable during her special attack, arctic ambush and for about 2 seconds after starting her roaming hunt if that helps.

As for your weapon and Bangboo question, the current standard banner weapons are always there and the Bangboos currently are also Always there. Who knows if we get limited Bangboos in the future, I think that's highly likely.

​@Glirion__ Bangboos aren't that important tbh, they do have their use but I highly doubt they'll limit Bagboos since they are the only gacha that is completely free and super easy to get. I already have 2 S ranks from just randomly hitting the search

As a self response, The bangboos are permanent. Weapons and characters are limited. If anyone else was interested you should get your limited character, get 1 copy of the weapon and then try to get the character to +1. +1 on characters maximize kit synergy, everything else is a multiplier

both are solid, but based on tests currently, they perform differently based on scenarios. the ice damage is helpful when you are able to freeze or shatter consistently, but sometimes just the attack increase alone is enough to overtake the ice damage in a general scenario. side note, farming for woodpecker allows you to use them as a decent 2 piece set on any character that is crit based

@@cannaaaa Farming the crit set is so inefficient, because it's shares drops with the defence set, rather farm double sets useful for your entire account and dismantle and craft woodpecker. For F2P/Causal at least.

@@sciencethygod I think this is valid too; but I will be honest when I say that it doesn’t feel like there’s a correct answer considering sets have different value in different fights and, as you mentioned, farming can play a part in whether you choose to farm one set or another. context matters a lot, but there is so much of it that there doesn’t seem to be a concrete agreed upon answer yet

@@cannaaaa Yes I agree with this totally, IWLG did a good spreadsheet damage calculation for sets for Ellen, and seeing the slight differences with sets and their proc uptimes some are fairly minimal. And as you said different sets work in different situations as well, go with what you get and what has good main/sub stats on imo, worry about min maxing later or if you whale.

Same rng on those is infuriating. Takes months to get a character built. Would definitely want something done to the rng. Tuners are not enough since substats are part of the rng and if is bad its just the trash you get everyday
