When he or she is finished ~ give 7 of those dollars equally to his or her siblings who did absolutely NOTHING to earn it. @@robinshafer4160 It is impossible for me to imagine that you know firsthand why such a staggering number of veterans are experiencing homelessness, if you sincerely believe drug addiction is the primary reason so many are becoming homeless. It's a lot less cut and dry than that. A profound lack of spiritual, medical, and practical/real-life assistance is a very significant factor. A dire inability to adjust from living life in a constant state of fight-or-flight - an inescapable kill-or-be-killed atmosphere, in which most veterans have watched one or more of their closest comrades die a violent and unavenged death - to immediately and often unexpectedly returning to civilian life, in which they are very suddenly immersed in the monotony of suburbia with no real plan for a career change because all they've known is being in the military.. all while trying to navigate these issues with debilitating ptsd and uncontrollable flashbacks, having no one in their immediate circle who can relate to what they're going through or anyone at all who can offer some kind - ANY kind - of reasonable advice on how to cope with these heavy and unforseen issues.. This is just one layer in a complex matrix of complications that make so many of our veterans vulnerable to homelessness. Just one aspect of a very serious and multi-dimensional problem. I mean no insult by my comment, I just wanted to share that it's not as black and white as "drug addiction." Drug addiction is a symptom of a greater underlying problem; addiction is the branches, these issues are the tree.. For what it's worth. God bless you Robin 💛

The “Founders” of our country did not end slavery. Most of them were slave owners. If they’d ended it we wouldn’t have had the Civil War. The British have a better historical story regarding the end of slavery, since it was changed by a vote instead of having to go to war over it.

Capitalism is less successful, as you can see how during the pandemic no one could work for months, had no income, and billions are starving worldwide.
