At the 2023 CTWC, over 100 Classic Tetris pros gathered at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo to vie for 48 seeds. Qualifying consisted of 2 hour attempts where players would try to rack up as many great scores as possible. In a 48-seed bracket, the Top 16 seeds earn a bye out of Round 0, while the bottom 32-seeds compete for a spot in Round 1.

I was indeed wrong however he reached level 31 with DAS 3 months ago using exclusively Quick taps, which are allowed in the DAS Playstyle@@Heppsxd

Maybe it's a good idea to consider different divisions. You could have a DAS division, a hyper-tap division, and a rolling division. The personal Tetris skill (in terms of piece placement,) which would otherwise take precedent, is circumvented by physical technique. Not to diminish anyone of any particular technical style, but if some of the current top players that roll were reduced to DAS, it's hard to say whether or not they'd be at the same competitive level as their DAS counterparts. Could Blue Scuti, as a DAS player, be able to beat Jonas, were he alive today? The top hyper-tappers could barely beat him, with only one exception coming to mind.

Believe it or not but a lot of the top players are proficient at multiple play styles. Scuti has a one off Maxout with das and players like fractal,Andy, Myles etc can max in comp with das. The level of play hasn’t only just improved with rolling but with stacking too. There was a couple reason why despite me being a das player I wasn’t eligible to play in this event
