Just picked up one in black the other day. Drives and handles like a dream, and the 4 banger turbo max puts out plenty of power and then some without effort (coming from a NA V6 truck before this). The spare tire in the bed is obstructive, but that’s why you have side view mirrors and a rear view camera that can be accessed even while driving. I’d rather have it mounted as is rather than on a swing gate or mounted on a slant in the center minimizing bed space even more.

I love this truck! Seriously looking to buy it but the only con for me is the giant tire in the bed. Can't mount a GFC in the bed with the tire and even if that's possible, the tire would take up too much space. Mount it on a swing gate andI lose the 360 camera. There's no easy solution to this :( Great review as always Joe! There's no way I'm picking the Tacoma TRD Pro over this Bison.

I would probably get the Colorado in Elevation Trim loaded or a GMC Canyon AT4 loaded with 4x4 for about $46k, they are geared a bit more street/road friendly and they get around 18 mpg city and 21 mpg on the highway.

The Innovation doesn't mean bad quality. I think GM got their mechanics right....why else would Multiple Asian brands want their EV platform💡

Multiple Asian brands want their ev platform because of government regulations forcing them to go that way, lol also it’s well known EV vehicles parts (especially their batteries) are way more expensive to fix then their gasoline counter parts. Example. My friend has his Tesla battery changed recently for $22,000, And he had it for 7 years so far. I had my Hyundai Elentra battery changed after 6 years and it cost me $125. I only spend $110 on gas normally per month; so even after 7 years, I still saved more money with my economy car than he did with his Tesla model y.

Well when you look at the Ranger raptor that thing has over 400 horse power, Can tow up to 5.5k It actually handles pretty well and doesn’t just look sporty, And has that big screen and it’s only 5.8 you get confused. And I believe you can go to the ford dealer to get some kind of an update and it gives you another 50 horse power or something

As a kid i remember my dad buying a loaded f350 v8 diesel dulley with the full four doors and 8 foot bed. It mas a massive truck which he used to haul trailers with. To this day I still remember the sticker on it .. $67,000.00.

Curious if the antenna will interfere with putting on roof racks, rooftop tents or anything like that. Also the spare eats up a lot of the bed perhaps an aftermarket mount on the tailgate will free up some space, guess it depends on what kind of off roading/overlanding you do and how much gear you need. I just got a Canyon AT4X 2 weeks ago. I wanted a ZR2 Bison - but it just wasn't available locally or for order. Somehow, even in that colour it looks awesome! I have been terrible at trading in my vehicles lately so I am going to really try to drive my AT4X into the ground (hopefully at least a decade ha-ha) - I will probably add in the Multimatic jounce control dampers though. I already scratched the rear bumper (paint pen to the rescue) but those metal bumpers would have been really nice to have!

That is a very stout motor and when the tunes come out along with turbo mods that thing will easily and reliably make 400hp. it is a big block 4 with all forged internals. Built tough like a diesel, but it's a gasser.

The Chevy Colorado is a very nice pickup truck. That truck is fully loaded. The only problem two problems I have with the truck is the passenger seat should be electric. And the price is so high for a pickup truck. Great review Joe😀👍🏾

Awesome reviews! I have this truck same color but regular 2024 ZR2. I have had lots of issues with rattling in the driver side door in the area where the window controls are. Weird popping sound front passenger side. Really really pissing me off. Thinking about getting rid of it already. The QC was lacking with my truck.

Not only that but manual passenger seat, manual rear window, cheap plastic. Screw this. My Silverado Trail Boss, albeit not nearly as capable off road, was less than this and the interior is much nicer, the 3L diesel is phenomenal on torque and MPG. That 4 banger just sounds like total ass

Just my opinion, but the ZR2 Colorado is by far the best looking mid-size truck & nothing else is even close. The Ranger Raptor is a distant 2nd & Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro is 3rd. Factor pricing & Chevy is the best value in the segment.

Light colored stitching on the steering wheel would end up looking dingy very quickly if you're doing truck stuff. The same is true for the seatbelts, but that might take a little bit longer.

I love the Colorado…. But 60k+ for a mid size is a no go. The most I’d go is 50k and that’s a lot… I bought my 2024 Colorado trail boss for 42k and it’s got all the options you can get….. even though there’s not much you can get on the TB haha

The main difference is that a Boson is at 65K fully loaded . A Taco TRD Pro starts at 65k plain Jane . I’d go for the fully loaded Bison. You don’t see many on the roads or trails but you do see lots of Tacos.
