i bought the 2018 traverse LT new.........and man i am all in for this redesign with new engine options! traverse beat everyone in bang for the buck........biggest selling point for traverse is space and price......nothing beats traverse!....side note: i have driven traverse for more than 200k KM.....not a single issue except regular maintenance! great quality statement for an American suv!

the traverse is the most expensive one, Kia, Honda, Hyundai and Subaru are way cheaper and the all come with adaptive cruise, and lane centering assist, they all come with 5000lbs and their trims have much more options. Looked at all of them yesterday, traverse is the worst and most expensive one. Additional to that you have the third-row scam window, what a joke. Btw the LS trim you can only get with 1500lbs towing capacity, what stupid policy GM has!

@@darkftforce the space in the third row is not that good, the third row window is absolute unacceptable if you sit in the third as a child, the trunk space is more (except grand Highlander) the 5000lbs is not available on the LS trim. If you got an lt for 38k you made a good deal AWD??? But I guess you don’t have super cruise and no lane centering assist (lane keep assist is not lane centering assist). Except the rear window the design is great and I would love to have a Chevy. But I need a 8 seater and nowhere in the nation they have an LT with 8 seats also I have to order one and without super cruise and no other feature except AWD Iam looking at 44k compared to a telluride with sunroof, leather, heated/cooled seats for 41k and a reliable V6 and not a tiny engine that causes already problems not mention g towing 5k pounds with it.

@@darkftforce specs are numbers, thinks like where you can “store” your feet in the third row you can only check in real life. Iam 6ft and 4 inches, definitely not a third row passenger. However yesterday I test seat traverse, pilot, Telluride, palisade and Subaru. The seating experience in the Subaru was surprisingly the best, especially the stadium seating is very smart, seating experience in the traverse was the worse. Space behind the third row is obviously the best in the Traverse. The angle of the third row seat cushion ist bad, the length, the feet “storage” (rails for second row are “above ground”) and of course the window because all you basically see is a massive c-pillar… Btw we use our Palisade currently with 7 kids, 4 in the second row and 3 in the third row.

I sprang for the upgraded Lyft late last year, and the driver showed up in a Traverse. Granted, it was the previous gen, but a huge zonk was the ride in the back seats. I've been down that highway to the airport a million times in my Mustang and my BMW, but I never noticed those freeway joints before. "Thu thump! Thu thump! Thu thump!"

Ray, I hate to break it to you, but, having a 2023 High country, the v6 growl is sweet and smooth. This turbo 4 is a step backwards in refinement, perhaps a step forward in power and economy, but, man oh man, the V6 is sweet... Also, the 9 speed in the 2023 seems to be quicker in shifts.

This is the first non hybrid that finally makes sense to me, great price, good tech, good power, actually improved mpg unlike others in the class(most still have around 15-18 city 24-26 hgwy) this is 20 city and 28 hwy. This 2024 Chevy Traverse LS is a great bang for the buck SUV and it looks very nice and gets good mpg's for its size, its actually about the same price as the 2 row base Chevy Blazer plus you get some upgrades you don't normally expect for a base trim. Pretty close to a full size SUV that can haul the whole family+ Luggage, Edmunds rates this vehicle a 5 out of 5 !

Thanks for reviewing the LS trim model. Overall it's a nice update, with tons of features, especially for the price. However, there are some drawbacks. The 4-Cyl turbo engine is way too rough sounding, with not much better mileage than the previous V6. The third row passengers can't look out the window!! What's up with that? Infontainment is nice but would love a bigger clock so rear passengers can see it too. No fog lights?

Honestly, the only disadvantage I can see with this trim is that you can’t get the panoramic sunroof. You need to upgrade to the LT to get that.

Would be nice to see an SS variation, V6 with a hybrid system would be awesome. If done right would be a sleeper, GM has become way to safe and its getting kinda old. I do love this truck though looks amazing just needs a true sport option.
