I actually laughed out loud. I wear a Garmin and I am a triathlete. And I genuinely enjoy long distance triathlon, so maybe there is actually something wrong with my head. Although I have to say, far from running from problems, I find long distance running great for freeing up head space. An hour on my feet and the world feels like a better place.

I watch your videos all the time because of how honest you’re. I sometimes wish you were my dad but I’m 38 so that would be impossible. I own a Garmin epix gen 2 RRP £999 I got it for £650 off eBay. And it’s one of the worst purchases I’ve ever bought. My old Garmin done just as much and cost me £200. I wish I invest that extra money in a better bike or diet plan for the gym.

“Pous repellant” 😂😂😂 I’ve been wearing a £1000 Garmin for a couple of years but decided to give the Ultra a go and found that the wrist heart rate is almost as accurate as the Garmin with a Garmin chest strap and the gps is on par with the Garmin but doesn’t take 5 minutes to acquire a gps signal. The ultra signal is almost instant every time. The only thing the Garmin does better is battery and I didn’t have to charge the Garmin for two weeks at a time (with moderate fitness use). The ultra, every two days without fail….but it’s not a problem as I can charge it when in the shower etc.

Love the ink Magnetic strap with my Ultra. Bought the Ultra because it is more durable and has a longer lasting battery charge than the non-Ultra. If I keep it twice as long, it’s worth it to me. I ended up trialing cell service and I’ve used it quite a few times. Fitness? Close your rings and you’re doing the basics. Anything more is for you not your watch :)

Reverse the loop so you lock it in closer to you (the 6 o’clock side). It will be easier to put on/take off as well as find the right loop for fit.

I've a garmin venu and gave my BF my old fenix, handy to know it's a repellent! My venu does all the sleep data, music, wallet, take calls and texts, strength training and cardio. Only difference is it doesn't have the rings to complete and it's garmin.

If you use it with the app athlytic its basically gives you all the data of whoop with the smartwatch features. Pretty much only thing that stopped me moving to a whoop after already having an apple watch

Was the same, get a pixel, camera is as good possibility better, operating system is better, split screen is really a game changer in the gym for me...everything else is as good enough... For £200 less than the bottom spec iPhone. With iPhone you know they deliberately won't let you make the most of your phone and that's just annoying . Worst case buy a used pixel give it 3 months and sell it if you don't like it, you'll love 50 quid.. personally the thought of going back to apple makes me feel nauseous so I get you. 🤣

I wear a garmin fenix, but I'm not single so I guess it doesn't matter. That said I only wear it when I'm doing something that actually needs it otherwise I wear a regular watch. I just don't think we need a watch to tell us that going out drinking or not sleeping properly means we aren't recovered as well as we could be, and I don't need something on my wrist guilt tripping me when I have a night out I already have the hangover.

With a garmin you can actually do all of the things except the phone call. Most garmins have music, spotify, autoreply to texts, pay with NFC. And in many countries that esim is not available the phone functioanity isnt even possible.

i have the ulta, and looking back now, i should have just paid 1/3 the price and got the SE. it has most of the features, and the features that it does not have, is it something that you want to spend like almost $600 more for a few extra features that i don''t even use routinely to make it worth my while. next time, i will either just replace the battery in the ultra when it dies, or just get an se.
