Is The BMW M140i The Best Hot Hatch for £20k!?

Hello all and well back to the channel!
In this video, I take this BMW M140i 3-door for a drive in order to answer a very simple question...is the BMW M140i the best hot hatch you can buy for £20,000?
I take a look around the outside, the inside, go for a drive and talk performance in the hope I can answer that question! If you're anything like me then when considering buying a hot hatch, the 3 litre rear wheel drive BMW M140i has crossed your mind. It's brutish style and addictive soundtrack make it hard to ignore in the hot hatch space.

The market is crazy at the moment - there’s quite a few 5 doors around for around £20k (16 plate/sun 30k miles) but 3 doors are tricky to find!

I paid exactly 20k for mine 2 and a half years ago (it's a 2017 5 door auto with adaptive). It had 14,200 miles on the clock. It's not got just over 30,000 miles on, and I reckon I could get 23/24 grand for it easily. I'd never sell it though, because I absolutely love it. With some tuning it now has 455bhp/634nm and a quaife is coming soon. It's the perfect do-it-all daily.

Got the exact same car too same miles, shadow edition £25k 😬 I got it in December… I love this car it’s mapped to 400 what do I need to do to get another 55bhp like yours??

@@MrNoNameThanks I had a Wagner 200 cell sports cat fitted Mr Wood, and remapped to suit. Next step upgraded fuel pump (dorch 2 hopefully) and cooling upgrades for 480-490 bhp, I do worry about the gearbox though, not sure how reliable the ZF8 will be if it has 650+ nm going through it lol !

Performance is in its own league, best bang for the bucks. I say handling could be better for the price but then I'm talking bout the rwd version, xdrive drives better without any mods, especially with adaptive suspension.
